SPN Ep: The Things They Carried

I'm pretty sure I've complained about this multiple times before, but why are family portraits on TV so badly Photoshopped? Seriously, I see more realistic manips done by fans on LJ and Tumblr every day.

And I also feel compelled to complain again about something else that's a major pet peeve of mine: men on TV never performing full CPR on other men on screen because OMG a man putting his lips on another man's lips is so homo, even though it's to save the other man's life and sex should be the furthest thing from anyone's mind. Aside from being archaically homophobic, it also leads to ridiculous scenes of someone trying to revive a victim who's been electrocuted by slapping his cheeks and punching his sternum.

But on to the Winchester part of the episode. When did Sam decide that killing a Goa'uld worm possessed person that they know how to cure should be Plan A? He usually makes that the last resort. I just hope this wasn't foreshadowing that Sam is going to fail to save Dean from the Mark, because Sam already failed to save Dean from his deal. I think Sam really needs one in the win column. Besides, it's Sam's turn to die in the season finale.

Meanwhile, I'm slowly making progress on Dean:
