First Entry
Well I saw that everyone in the fraternity has this one so I switched from Xanga. I sort of liked the layout of the other one better but I'll conform to my peers on this one. Now I can comment on other people's journals and not show up as annonomous either. So today was sort of a sad day at chapter tonight. Know that Dale is moving out and Ace is going inactive saddens me. But me still being an associate member sort of makes it less sad then it should be. I wish that I had been around longer, and known people better. I hope that me moving in will help change this. I am really looking forward to living in the house. I hope that I can be a positive influence because of it but I won't get my hopes up.
Now onto non-fraternity stuff... I hope home this weekend and got to fly with my brother. My mom tried to bait me into staying at home for the summer by hinting they would pay for my pilot's liscense. I am halfway to getting it but I really don't feel the need to go home. I also need to buy life insurance before my premiums raise any higher. Being scuba certified and being into as many extreme sports as I have been in makes it harder and harder to get a good life insurance policy. I feel like an old man already having to worry about life insurance. It should be fun though. Flying is such a fun thing, and I'm glad that I got to go up with my little brother. I got some stick time while we were up there but nothing to make me feel like I was totally in control. My brother did some negative gravity stuff which was fun but sort of scary in a tiny 2 person plane. We had fun up there and our day of flying ended up wtih him getting in a fight with the owner of the airport on the radio. It was classic.
My brother also had prom this weekend. He looked pretty sharp but his date was scantily clad. Her dress didn't hide much and I'm sure she had to use tape to keep her boobs in her top. But such is the life of women trying to be sexy in prom dresses. I guess the principal freaked out about it but didn't make her change. I thought it was really funny.
