Have you looked into Cougar Ridge yet?
Even if you don't think you have time to participate, you probably ought to take a look.
There are maybe five characters I think are written by power gamers. One of them I've downgraded, in my opinion, from griefer to mere power gamer, and I think one of the power gamers is a sort of a stealth-griefer. But the rest, even when they aren't exactly writing the best material, seem to be having fun and playing nicely with the rest.
I've been really tempted to write an Unauthorized Underground Cougar Ridge Gazette, with unflattering one-sentence summaries of every character's activities, and sosoclever has suggested Cougar Ridge fanfic. I'm not much of a fanfic fan, but I've already got one in mind that had her squirting key lime soda out her nose just with my character summaries.
