So the pillbug and I were making her lunch.

I handed her a plate and said, "Here's your plate."
She took the plate, put it on the table, and said, "P'ate."
I handed her a cup and said, "Here's your cup."
She took the plate, pretended to drink from it, put it on the table, and said, "Cup."
I handed her a cup lid and said, "Here's your lid."
She took the lid, put it on the table, and said, "Cup."

Then I asked her what she wanted. "Would you like peanut butter and jelly?"
"Ababababababa!"
"I couldn't understand a word of that." I got out the peanut butter. "Is this what you want?"
Sticking out one finger, she pressed it against the jar and said, "Get back! Get back!"

Okay, no peanut butter, I guess.
