Ahh yes
Democrats... Democrats... allthough you are part of the same sick, out of control, machine that the Republicans are I am curious. In this your moment of triumph have you considered just what your PLAN is? We can all agree that the administrations plan or lack thereof for handling these issues has been a comedy of errors at best. It is one thing to say one groups plan of action sucks but it is quite another to have your own SENSIBLE plan of action instead of just blowing smoke and hopping up and down screaming "we won!! we won!!". I for one will wait to see what this plan is if there is one.
Before you all break out the champagne and celebrate a "New Order" think on this: the last time this sort of thing happened with a split government the law making process ground to a screeching halt and the government for a brief time period shut down. Also be aware that the Cowboy will be using his veto from now on at will. Yes it can be overridden but good luck with that with a senate that is so close partisan wise. Votes are bought, sold, and traded every day. anyone who says otherwise is selling you something.
Republican? Democrat? Independant? It makes no difference which of these claim any sort of victory.
The victory belongs as it always does to the Machine and the same sort of fat old rich white men that sit at the wheel who once bought a presidential election in 1968.
Think about that a bit and maybe that champagne that some of you just uncorked wont taste quite as sweet. Then again...
Perhaps it will.
