Stan is a two-dimensional character, sometimes in the most literal sense of the words, but even he can form interesting relationships with other campers. ^_^
These will alternate from being IC and OOC, pretty randomly. You should be able to tell which is which. ^_~
Neutral
[The closest category to being a friend--Evil King's haven't got friends!]
Alice -- Stan enjoys bitching at Alice, and sometimes they even get along. [[EDIT: Now gone from camp]]
Ami Mizuno -- Loves to heckle~ on a serious note, Ami pings on Stan's hero radar--but at the same time she patches him up after he gets his ass kicked. Also he knows she's smart and could be the one kicking his ass in the first place. So. Mixed feelings here! He likes to flirt at her, in any case. She's the medic he prefers when he takes a beating, also.
Ari -- Ex-slave, and still the best lackey Stan's had so far.
There's actually a lot more to be said about Stan's interaction with Ari than just that sentence. Because Ari was his host for so long, Stan was completely dependent on Ari--if Ari died, Stan would too. So, naturally, if Ari got in too much trouble, Stan would have to protect him. Now that Stan's no longer attached to Ari, he has no reason to keep the boy alive or even look out for him--but he does. Bottom line, Ari is one of the few people Stan cares about doesn't actively dislike.
Regardless, most of the time Stan thinks Ari is a sarcastic brat who needs to shut the hell up like a good subordinate servant--but rarely, Stan might still look out for his original slave. Just because Ari's too incompetent to look after himself, really. Despite all the sarcasm and the fact that they piss each other off more than anything else, if Ari was in deep shit, Stan would try to help him. It also annoys Stan that there are so many other people who rush to Ari's aid--one, they all automatically dislike Stan because of Ari, and two, well... it's like Ari's not Stan's property anymore, he's public domain. =[
Because he's no longer dependent on Ari, though, Stan is starting to notice that his original slave can stand up for himself from time to time, and that Ari's shadow is no longer as perfect as it once was--though it's still pretty good quality!
I could actually ramble a lot longer on the interaction between these two, going into the canon interaction of when Stan was Ari's shadow, but this is simply the current situation.
Asuna -- ... I could take her on any day. She's fun to heckle! [[EDIT: Now gone from camp. ::sadface::]]
Ayame -- Somebody who really understands me!
Bart/Impulse -- Stan was love-gooed at Impulse for a little while, and while he's recovered from that, still puts Impulse in the Neutral category. EDIT: Impulse is just plain annoying, but still somehow stays in this category.
Buffy -- Stan's first met Buffy when he had amnesia, was female, and getting good and drunk. His opinion of her has changed over time, but she remains in this neutral category despite how she snarks at him! Maybe because it's just all in good fun.
Conan -- My tiny cabinmate! Where are you all the time? [[EDIT: now gone from camp. ::sadface::]]
Cougar Straight -- Hahah! A rapid freak but a funny human! [[EDIT: now gone from camp.]]
Enjolras -- Another one that falls into the 'fun to taunt' category. Enj's love for justice makes him an automatic idiot in Stan's book. :3
Epros -- Stan's pretty neutral to Epros when Linda's not around. Just thinks he's kind of a moron, what with the rhyming and the make-up and the drama.
Etna -- So fun to tease~!
Evangeline A.K. McDowell -- In theory this is Stan's dream woman [in her adult form, anyway]. Blond, evil, powerful, older--what more could an Evil King want? But they hardly talk and she mocks him when they do. XD
Excel -- Stan was love-gooed at Excel at the same time as they were both love-gooed at Impulse, but they've both recovered from that. However, he still enjoys her company a lot; they can be evil together, and--I think, anyway--understand each other on a level that most people hopefully can't understand. Even though he thinks Il Palazzo is an idiot and Excel is an imbecile for working with him.
Fllay -- Stan loves to pick on this one too. Such satisfying reactions, really. ♥
Goku -- I can't believe this incompetent shrimp is two hundred years my senior. I hope I'm not that senile when I reach five hundred! [[Engaged]] [[They bicker endlessly, but occassionally have understandings that last a couple minutes before they return to the bickering. It's possible Goku may move up to the "neutral" list quite soon. XD]]
[[EDIT: Goku actually deserves his own special category. XD Scroll down to see the new section.]]
Hakkai -- Possesses much better manners than the other fools from the same world! However, an Evil King is a never food!!
Honda Tohru -- Such a respectful young girl! She doesn't understand my evil ways, but she can be taught, I'm sure! [[EDIT: Now gone from camp. T_T]]
Hanatarou -- Stan LOVES to pick on this poor guy. So much. Also, found out that Hanatarou and Raenef are dating. Stan secretly approves, but talks about how pathetic Hanatarou is anyway to get a rise out of Raenef.
Huang Yue Ying -- She was nice to Stan when he first was a zombie, and he still remembers this, so he doesn't dislike her much. But they don't seem to talk that much lately anyway.
Hyuuga Hinata -- What a lovely shadow this young lady has! ♥ [[EDIT: Now gone from camp. AGAIN WRY]]
Jacen Solo -- A shrimpy camper who's tons of fun to heckle. Also kind of funny.
James -- ... maybe Stan didn't mean it when he said he hated James. Still, they haven't spoken since then, so it doesn't seem to matter. [[EDIT: now gone from camp, woe.]]
Kabuto -- You may ask why is Kabuto in the neutral category? He seriously did a number on Stan, the sadistic bastard! But Stan really appreciates that kind of sadism--he doesn't appreciate being the victim of it, of course! But Stan did do something to deserve such retribution, which he acknowledges--and later, Kabuto fixed him up, so really, no hard feelings.
Kaylee -- Not too stupid for a human! Perhaps worth talking to more later. [[NOTE: referring to the old Kaylee, not the current one.]]
Lemina -- This one's funny! Let's keep her around for now. [[EDIT: Now gone from camp.]]
Mello -- Such respect! Such a cunning plan! There's truly potential here; he'd make a wonderful lackey! [[EDIT: Now gone from camp! TT_TT]]
Mori Ai -- Stan thinks she is so fun to pick on. So. Much. Fun. =D
Raenef -- Stan really has a blast picking on Raenef. Since Raenef is apparently supposed to be an evil Demon Lord, but is seemingly such a failure at it, it also makes Stan feel a bit better about not being such a successful Evil King as of late. EDIT: Oh god. Raenef is totally Stan's cute and cuddly pineapple-head little brother. (not IC-ly or anything, simply in my mind.) Meaning Stan is obligated to pick on him ALWAYS. ♥
Robert Haydn -- Stan gets the feeling he's missing something here, but otherwsie, this bug-eyed twerp seems all right!
Sai -- Hoboy. So. Sai has a crush on Stan. Which is GREAT for Stan's ego. What's not great is that Sai has already demonstrated that he can pwn Stan in terms of strategy, plus he's VERY close to Rosalyn. This creates some conflicting feelings, but so long as Sai is just a ghost and not physical, Stan doesn't regard him as a threat and just thinks of him as an amusement. RLY.
Sha Gojyo -- Pink.
Tayuya -- HORNS~ ♥ ♥ ♥ -- erm, rather... ::AHEM::
Toboe -- STAN'S GONNA EAT YOU XD
Tomo -- Funny kid. Kind of annoying, but amusing enough to make up for it! EDIT: Stan's reaction to Tomo actually keeps bouncing back and forth--sometimes she really irks him but other times she does crack him up.
Urahara -- Completely neutral. [[EDIT: and now gone from camp.]]
Wednesday Addams -- Stan thinks she's awesome. Mostly because when he was de-aged, she gave him arsenic, no questions asked, plus advice on how to poison somebody with it. Of course, he'd never tell her that she rocks, but that's what he thinks of her.
Mild Dislike
[Annoying but not worth immediate punishment]
Alphonse Elric -- An irritating stripling, but nothing more than a shrimpy human.
Chizuru -- She lacks taste, but can occassionally be evil! I wouldn't mind teaming up, if only she grew some good judgement!
Elphaba Thropp -- Really, this froggy twit isn't worth my notice, but she's such an idiot that she really does need to be taught a lesson!
Erk -- Hm? He had my body at one point, didn't he? He could have treated it better! EDIT: But he makes a fine lackey. However, attacking moi when I've done nothing to deserve it--this purple twit won't go unpunished! [[EDIT: Now gone from camp.]]
Fletcher Tringham -- Nosy brat.
Gertrude Yorkes -- Hm? Does she have a pet dinosaur?
Greta -- Noisy brat. [[EDIT: Now gone from camp.]]
Kon/Superboy -- An arrogant idiot, from what little I've seen of him. EDIT: A pest. A real pest.
Nara Shikamaru -- An idiot human and a failure not worth being my lackey! Remind me to fire him as soon as possible. [[EDIT: Now gone from camp.]]
Meer -- Can't tell her apart from the other one. Thinks she's annoying, and is perplexed as to why she seems to want to invoke his wrath.
Michael -- Stop throwing yourself at me, you twit of an angel! ... Although there's potential there... [[Engaged]] [[Michael seems to bring out Stan's mature side. Possibly Stan wants to balance out the fact that there's an angel around by being as hard core evil as he can.]] [[EDIT: Now gone from camp. Stan's noticed, but doesn't really care very much.]]
Obi-Wan -- A stuck-up, idiotic, tricky little human!
Oscar -- Alternates between mocking Stan and humouring him, so goes in this category rather than the Neutral or Dislike ones.
River Tam -- Annoying nutcase, this one, but at least she doesn't rhyme. [[NOTE: this is refering to the old River. Hasn't yet met the new one.]]
Russel Tringham -- He needs to shut up and learn some respect for moi!
Uchiha Sasuke -- The hedgehog boy? A mild annoyance, but otherwise not worth notice.
Uzumaki Naruto -- Utter brat.
Wolfram -- Not a human? But he sure looks like one. An idiot, no matter what he is!
Dislike!
[When the world is mine don't expect any mercy, you stupid humans!]
Alex -- The way he speaks boggles Stan's mind a bit, and he thinks Alex is a little damaged in the head. Also the boy keeps threatening him. And Stan wants him to stay the Hell away from Goku, since that Halloween incident. XD [[EDIT: Now gone from camp ;_;]]
Ash Ketchum -- Stupidity that huge deserves punishment.
Bob the Angry Flower -- This worthless weed has no redeeming qualities! He tries to be evil but cannot match up to moi, the one and only Evil King Stan! In his jealousy he taunts me, but we all know who's superior! (ME!) [[EDIT: Now gone from camp.]]
Cal -- Stan finds Cal to be very, very irritating.
Carrot Glace -- Needs to mind his own business, the bratty human! [[EDIT: now gone from camp]]
Chase -- Disrespectful twerp!
Il Palazzo -- VENGEANCE WILL BE MINE.
Ishida Uryuu -- Part of the reason I died! But I'm sure this weak human couldn't have done anything without that damnable priest's aid. When I have rendered him helpless, I will enjoy making him suffer!
Lady -- She and Stan always bitch at each other. A lot. Also she seems to be getting suspiciously close to Rosalyn....
Lupin -- Quit calling me Steve! You vile, foul, disgusting human!
Maladict -- Only met once, but Stan is irked by this guy.
Murata Ken -- You're getting awfully close to my ex-slave! Even if we aren't stuck together anymore, if you hurt him you'll answer to moi! Also, I don't like your attitude.
[[EDIT: Now that Murata's gone from camp, Stan's a bit pissed. If asked, he'll say it's because "that four-eyed brat made it out of this miserable mire before I did!" or "that stupid suckling escaped before I properly subjugated him!" but the truth? Murata's leaving hurt Ari, and Stan's a wee bit upset about that. He doesn't know if Murata wanted to leave or not, nor does he care, because the fact is that Murata left Ari behind, knowing full well how much he meant to Ari.
Though Stan can't put that into words, nor would he ever want to, this is also part of the reason he has such issues with Goku. Caring for a person gives them the power to hurt you, and Ari just got hurt.]]
Nishi Jouichirou -- Stay away from my ex-slave! I killed you once and I'll do it again!
Pallapalla -- Playercest HOOOOOO! Stan finds her to be VERY irritating, and also does not like the fact that there were other things living in her shadow, I mean really wtf is up with that.
Ranma Saotome -- This arrogant brat thinks to punish moi for what I do!? He's got a lot to learn!
HATE
Sanzo -- This stupid, stuck-up, impolite, arrogant, moronic, violent, pompous, poor-impulse-control priest! My black revenge will send him into a pit of immeasurable suffering and his deep regrets will not sway me from delivering his swift doom! [[EDIT: ... yeah, he still pisses Stan off. Finally pulled out the paper fan on Stan, which got a reaction of WTF OW QUIT THAT!]]
[[EDIT: Haven't been mamy Stan and Sanzo threads lately, but. Now that Ros is here, I do think I need to mention something here. Before Ros had arrived, Stan was somewhat using Sanzo as a replacement-Rosalyn. Since Sanzo had managed to kill him, Stan almost respects him, in a backwards I'll-kill-you-a-lot kind of way. Essentially Stan still hates Sanzo, but it's a special kind of hate reserved only for people who earn it. Now that Ros is here Sanzo is sort of on the back-burner, but still gets the special hate.]]
Rosalyn -- The only good thing about this camp WAS that this moronic belt-head washbowl woman wasn't here! Now that she is, there's really no way this place can get any worse! [[EDIT: ... yeah, she still pisses Stan off, too.]]
[[EDIT 2: Now gone from camp. Stan is incredibly pissed about this. While he says, "How dare she let somebody else kill her!" and "How dare she leave beofre I could properly subjugate her!" what he means is, "How dare she leave Ari and me behind."]]
[[EDIT AGAIN: Now gets her own category because there's somebody else playing Ros and I don't have to playercest all the damn time. Scroll down to see!]]
Classification Sucks
[Die on each other's swords]
Rosalyn -- Rosalyn is the classified Hero. She is not, at first, the only one, but she is the only competent hero, and therefore really the only one worth Stan's attention. (Later in the game she does become the only Hero, but details, details. She's the only one who ever gets anything done, so she might as well have been the only one from the start.) She and Stan are, as the Hero and Evil King, destined to kill each other. So what's with all the flirting? Well honestly there's a whole essay I need to write on this, but that's not happening here, so we'll give the short explanation.
Firstly, Stan thrives on conflict and negative emotions. Pissing somebody else off? Makes his day. So some extent of bickering = flirting, for him.
Secondly, Rosalyn is the Hero. Therefore, she is, when he's not reliant on his slave, the most important person in Stan's world. He has to defeat her in order to conquer the world. She's really the only thing stopping him from taking over. So she gets all of Stan's attention; she's the one he hates the most, she's the only one allowed to kill him and vice versa. [She's also, at this camp, the only one who takes him seriously, but let's not sweat the little details.]
Thirdly? With all the things Stan says about her butt, he's gotta be staring at it pretty damn often.
Okay, so that wasn't a very good reason, but it's so very true.
Regardless. I need to come back and rewrite this section on more sleep. But anyway. There is some weird chemistry going on between Stan and Ros, which Stan will DENY LIKE A DENYING THING. But it's very much there, and just getting worse with Stan having won a bet that makes Ros his slave, and her taking advantage of it to manipulate the piss out of him.
EDIT: Um hey yeah dating what the hell. ROS DOES NOT TOP RLY.
They continue to bicker and fight, of course, because their relationship is based on the fact that they're mortal enemies. =]
There Are No Words
[Something that shouldn't have happened]
Goku -- ... well. I could go on and on here about how their relationship has changed over time, but needless to say, Stan now likes Goku. Likes him a lot more than an Evil King should like anything [other than, you know, death and destruction and that sort of thing]. This seriously fucks with Stan's mind, because even though he's fighting the Classification system, he still adheres to it--meaning that he doesn't want to be anything other than an Evil King. When something comes up to challenge his identity as an Evil King--namely, liking another person, feeling sincere affection for somebody else--it messes with his brain. Especially since, despite Stan's best efforts otherwise, his feelings are noticed [not just by Goku but by the entire camp], and then returned to some extent. Essentially, Stan attempted to push Goku away, but has mostly given up on that and resigned himself to the fact that he likes this person. Though he'll still have frequent moments of denial, of course--you can't change 300+ years of conditioning that quickly.
Anyway, bottom line: Stan likes to make out with Goku, but he also likes to be with Goku even when they aren't kissing. There's more than just a physical attraction here, and it bothers Stan sometimes, but it's there.
Is it OOC for Stan to like somebody? Because, really, he's Evil. Is Stan's player taking way too many liberties with this?
I'll put it this way: a Great Hero has the ability to hate, so an Evil King should be allowed to like someone.
EDIT: Now Goku and Stan have broken up for good. However. Stan does still like Goku. And since the relationship really started for Stan based on simple physical lust, there's still a bit of tension--essentially Stan may be tempted to make out with him again despite the fact that he's sincerely relieved not to be dating the monkey anymore.
That relief stems from the fact that both Goku and Stan were using each other as replacements. Stan is much more attracted to Ros than Goku, and Goku doesn't want to be second best, but also, Sanzo is the most important to Goku. Stan was willing to ignore this in favour of making-out a lot, but Goku got to be really high maintenance and possessive in the end, and Stan is just not cut out for that kind of relationship at all. So yeah, he's happy they've broken up, but may still be tempted to kiss Goku.
EDIT: Bicker-buddies! XD
Common Ground
[Something that's acceptable]
Linda -- Linda also gets her own category. I was thinking of putting her in the same one as Goku, but Stan definitely does not feel the same toward these two people. It's okay for him to like Linda, even though he's an Evil King. Why? For one, she was an Evil King herself; she fully supports his Evil endeavors, and she'll back him up no matter what unless she's busy with Epros. For two, she's female--Stan does insist that he's straight even though his player just thinks he's blatantly bi. Stan doesn't have to love or like Linda or anything like that; she understands the whole 'Evil' thing. He doesn't have to put effort into a relationship with her, because she's so damn devoted.
Stan does like Linda; he's not at all adverse to her liking him. It's probably because she likes him so much that he likes her--and of course she's not bad looking, and she can sing decently as well. However, he and Goku have gone through so much lately that so long as they remain at camp, Goku's likely to be the winner of Stan's affections. Once Stan and Linda and everybody else returns home, Stan would be more than happy to be with Linda, but then the problem of Epros comes up.
Bottom line: Stan loves the attention he gets from Linda, but Goku's already won the contest between those two.
(Stan would also be more than happy to have both Linda and Goku, but considering how the two feel towards each other, that's not looking likely at all. But he'd enjoy it.)
EDIT: Now gone from camp! TT_TT Stan is much more bothered by this than he lets on, of course. But since people should all throw themselves at him, it doesn't matter if he lost just one admirer, really!
