Of all the strange things....

Yesterday around 1630 I started having horrible abdominal pain. At first it was bilateral and low. But then as the day progressed it settled in the right lower quadrant. I ended up throwing up the pain was so bad. Of course, I'm thinking it could be something female-part related or there was the remote possibility that it could be appendicitis.
So I finally have Matt take me to Arrowhead around 20:00. The doctor orders 30mg of torodol for me because I'm wary about taking narcotics. The torodol does NOTHING for my pain. Joy. So I give in and let the doctor order morphine with zofran (for nausea) for me. 2mg of morphine and aside from feeling like a giggling idiot, the pain hasn't been touched. So I go for my CT scan to rule out appendicitis. When I get back I get another 2mg of morphine. It helps a little.
It ends up I have mesenteric adenitis. In simple terms, inflamed lymph nodes in my abdomen. I mean, I'm super glad it wasn't appendicitis... but this is just weird.
Nothing can be done except for pain control. So here I am, taking percocet and ibuprofen and probably taking another day off work. Joy. I can't afford to take time off, but I need to take care of myself first. *sigh*
