Rantings from the bonfire
The key phrase for this weekend was what I told midnightscott about a mistake regarding Freak Bowling V:

This whole weekend has been a gigantic "My bad", on my part of course.. as you will read I reveal my foibles, my frailties and my weaknesses for goofing up commitments, not to mention my inability to make chicken cordon bleu..
But I digress..
THURSDAY:
Made it to chronosdc, albeit late, but then again I got to hang out with some folk intermittent therein including Claus which was cool of course.. however, upon arriving at chronosdc I did see cerberus777 (thanx for the nice, long, very needed talk).. and coffinwolf, Jeffrey, Sean, anizee, deadmoonrising and..Zev(!!!), and very nice to see exquisitetrash, Tom and loss_of_signal, and then to see Rinesin with the incomparable Helen was a very nice suprise, not to mention more people to help brainwash convince people to go to Freak Bowling V.. also saw DJ Spyder, James (who always looks for an opportunity to blind us all), the Other Mortician Amy, and Misha.. and of course dj_dirty_b.. oh and Randy and Torrey were there to represent the Hipsters..
FRIDAY:
My first File Under OOPS: I was supposed to be at The Groaning concert, but I completely forgot about it.. my stomach took over my brain and I was in a hankerin' for a burger.. if it makes you all feel better about it, it was overcooked (medium rare? More like medium nuked!)
SATURDAY:
I got up late! Nice and late! In spite of my needing to be up earlier to take urgote's phone call about dinner, again, file under OOPS.. but at least I was rested (I should have been for getting up at 5:30pm [1730]).. I still have no Internet connectivity at home, so I spent the entire evening working on my web application inasmuch as fixing a few latent bugs and cataloging about 1,200 online pics, everything from my NYC pix to my Scandinavia pix to my caught-you-dancing-like-a-whitey-dcmidnight pics..
Oh and speaking of dcmidnight, of course I went to that! 1,200 pics couldn't keep me away from that bastion of coolness! I got to meet a guy Tyler who is second-degree connected to The Lamb Center, which is Northern Virginia's only homeless shelter and will be hopefully receiving donations from people who go to Freak Bowling V.. and of course I barraged people with flyers, including Marti, Leo, Eric, Bryan and his girlfriend, the two Wills I met that night, some guy with kitty ears, but I didn't have to give any out to dreammuse, verlise, kat928 nor Virgil, nor of course to the Birthday Girl: queen_mab_fae, always the fabulous!
Also got to see gelfjenn, Keith and Shan, Ben SexPot, anizee, exquisitetrash (YAY two times in one week!!), slyx, 666daemon666, and cerberus777 rounding things out with Great Talk #2 (and something about really large mixers and bowls of oatmeal)
SUNDAY:
I got up on time, talked to the landlord about the Internet connectivity (and other really annoying issues), fiddled on the web application some more, catalogued more pics, then left for church.. only to come all the way home because I forgot my wallet.. but then I left again! cerberus777, Amanda, Becky, Katie, Chloe and oldsmobile_mike (wonder where you were hiding) were there.. then most of us went to our usual Panda Express hangout to talk about Kelly Clarkson going "dark" and unusual aspects of body parts.. Most left to go feed the homeless, meeting Eddy there, while I went for a drive to clear my head and to come here to Kinko's to be able to publically vent..
Hope I didn't forget something.. I probably did, it was that kind of a weekend
