Rantings from the bonfire
Now you always appreciate your awesome weekends.. when you have a lousy one.
This one ultimately needed to be fired. Granted, I didn't lose a limb or lose any loved one this weekend, however, it was not up to the usual high standards of incredible weekends that have oh so spoiled me rotten.
Granted, I got my Einherjer CD from strangelandrecs, and kat928 made the nummiest fudge on earth at dcmidnight, so there was a nice bright spot in the midst of utter yucktitude.
But perhaps everyone else needed some death-by-sugar while listening to Norwegian folk metal.. just maybe..
THURSDAY:
I was quite a bit late for chronosdc, perhaps because as of late I'm not that motivated to say for hours and hours of inconsistent music. I must admit that 2501 was spinning more of my liking that night.. until he did Justin Timberlake and that was it for the night. At least prosector, exquisitetrash, and loss_of_signal were all there to share in the collective ick. Jeffrey also was there, Sean, anizee, Tom, Dave, Aspen, and two very dorky normies in bright white polos dancing in an alcoholic frenzy. Puh [to the normies].
FRIDAY:
I missed those_who_mourn study because, well, I forgot we had one. Yay me.
SATURDAY:
I had to get up ungodly early to pay a bill at the bank and to emerge into the even-more-ungodly bright sunny July summer hellish atmosphere reminiscent of the volcanic planet from Revenge of the Sith. At least Popeye's was good. :)
I stayed indoors and in my subterranean lair for the remainder of the gross-out hot day until the sun was finally vanquished from the sky and darkness ruled the land..

And then went out to strangelandrecs where my beloved Einherjer CD was awaiting for my loving embrace (ahhhh Norwegian folk metal.. it's so supreme), and then off to dcmidnight..
File under: interesting. Maybe it was just me, but did it seem a bit off-kilter for anyone else? Roll call to scarydavedc and heleneotroy, groaninggirl and violinpadraic, prosector twice in a weekend rant (world record), kat928, punksteve, dreammuse, Chris, Marti, Ken, Dave, gelfjenn, Vamp, Andy and Diane, Mike the Marine, and djphae played The Awakening!! But please DJs, don't ever mash up Rammstein and the Pussycat Dolls.. EVER!
SUNDAY:
Got up earlier than planned which gave me time to do this and to do this too. Link to pics inside.
Went to church.. and it seemed as if everyone else forgot to get the memo to show up. Only Sarah, Amy, normal_dan and Chloe were there, everyone else was not. Perhaps it was implicit retaliation for my not being there on Friday. Nah I blame it on global warming.
I went to Panda Express to meet everyone and it wound up being Fabian and me and that was it.
Wow what a weekend. I didn't even mention how this one new very annoying and very difficult "split personality" kid is showing up on the message board annoying my Euro friends and me. Why whine, it's just so GAWTH to be above it all. ;)
Oh yeah, go see Bodies with us this coming Sunday at 3pm at the Dome in Rosslyn, and then in August get your Freak Bowling on
That is all. I mean, isn't that enough? Back to Einherjer..
