DC sucks. Its mediocrity is its lifeblood. It exists solely to proudly display and promote sameness to all who will be forced to adhere. Do not dare be different unless you are with a loved one that celebrates your different-ness, lest you be alone in your non-mainstream lifestyle.
Welcome to my sometimes-very-lonely world. A world without someone for this Nordic being, at least definitely not here in DC. A world where if I say hello to someone with whom I share an interest in knowing, it is more often met with a turned head, a facial sneer, or a very quick running-away for freak of catching some Freak disease.
All of you with boyfriends/girlfriends, stop reading. Oh wait, too late, you've already read.
At any rate, I will mainly only share with you Saturday, because the rest of this Columbus Day weekend, well other than Friday night and Monday, was absolutely not worth sharing, repeating, remembering or revisiting in any way shape or form. It was mostly a weekend of Hateful Fail and immature behavior, and a weekend that heightened my resolve to leave this great City of Mediocrity. For good.
FRIDAY:
Thanks to all who came to the Those Who Munch:
carolynn_dc, Josh,
djpanic and
mrspanic, Edward and his friend whose name I don't remember (sorry).. and me. It was at Mandu for the second time and this one was far, far better than the June all-male freaks-vs-normies Those Who Munch. Larry, your restaurant has been redeemed!
SATURDAY:
Let me just say that
spellbound_dc was much fun! I am always reminded as to how I am totally appreciated and wanted by those in my Freak Family, and how I oftentimes turn to them for the acceptance that I know will receive (and always get without fail)..
Goths: WIN
I spent time with Marti, Laura, Steve (welcome back among us) and his steamy friends, Misha and
missfussy, Andy,
shadow27 and
pmhrh, Arwen, Ian (DJ Nightshade), John of the Grand Plans (hehe dude you rock), Angela,
dharmata101 and his very awesome friend Will who need to return among us, Jeff, Max, Jonathan, and so many more, and to see "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari" is quite interesting inasmuch as it's really really old! :)
MONDAY:
Thanks Don for inviting me over with your friends to watch "Amadeus" and watching me drool with unbridled lust admiration over all things Rococo (and who wouldn't want a Viennese Piano!
) What a very, very nice way to end what I would have hoped would have been a great 3-day holiday weekend (dare I mention the maid service today at the apartment was above par!)
Now onto
Unified Underground this coming weekend! Adventure #1
DC, BTW, still sucks.. UU is in Annapolis.
