Everything was black and white and red all over.. Black at spellbound_dc, white at Ascension, and red all over our faces from laughing at the Hulu ads, the CareerBuilder ads and the obligatory discussions of poop and gladitorial games..
Welcome to my weekend. Now that it's Tuesday morning, of course..
FRIDAY:
I got the rental car and got myself a nice nap to boot after work. I had already gone out to find the perfect white accessory for my nearly-all-white outfit for the Waltz of the Faeries all-white night. All white? Do you know the heartache and pain I suffered to defy my own defiance to be temporarily accepted as a team player? Ok I pulled it off anyway, so ha.
I got up there to see belladonnas_web, queen_mab_fae, deathling and Brian (the YAY to both!!), dreammuse, oki_no_akuma and his mindblown friend, Rob (Vamp) and Jason, swandust, Arwen, and others into the team sport of flowing white so elegantly done..
I eventually made it home after a nap at the infamous rest stop on the way back to VA..
SATURDAY:
Oh to get up so nice and late.. uh, a bit too late.. I have to scramble to make the flyers for the next Those Who Munch, and I forgot to call the bowling alley..
I flew up to Gaithersburg only to discover the Goth Subculture Small Group didn't happen apparently, or had ended far earlier than I thought.. that was very disappointing.
I went back home for a bit and went back out for my treks. I first went to dcmidnight, where I ran into rivingmass back in the country (in one piece which is a good thing), dharmata101 and valdyr, Bryan of xUBERx, DJ Gleek, Noc McGraver, and others not pre-empted by the Obama Party Machine a few blocks down..
Then down the street - after congratulating Brad and vesper_holly on their engagement - oh and meeting another Phil into gothic stuff (how 'bout that) - I head to spellbound_dc, where I honestly had a blast! shadow27 and pmhrh, violinpadraic and Angela, Osiris, oldsmobile_mike, Misha, missfussy, pippilongstokin (Välkommen till här!), coffinwolf, sameoldtune, exquisitetrash and Angel, Big Kirk, prosector and his Ukrainian (and sort of Russian) posse, Repo! The Genetic Opera, Thomas, carolynn_dc, Hedge and his fantastic Steampunk skills, Rick, Edward the other cowboy, dj_transept and loss_of_signal, vicar, dmindock, rainingdays and justaputz and so many more people..
..highlights of the evening were my discussion with Jason of the Missing (Rob [Vamp]'s apparent husband - am I right?) about my beliefs and then taking prosector's friend Andriy back home to Arlington, having a long talk with him as well (not to mention the aggressive pizza people on P Street)..
SUNDAY:
I went to my old church (ugh) with urgote and Sarah, later joined by cerberus777, lilian_winter, and normal_dan; afterwards (the message was on dating, in case you wanted to know), we went to David and Marian's place for Super Bowl watching (in my case, commercial watching), food and discussions consisting of poop and gladitorial games.
I am too pooped to talk anymore. zzzzzzzzzz
