Better to rant late than never, I always say... ugh..

At any rate..
THURSDAY (Christmas / Jul):
It was very nice and quiet, small but nice and quiet. My parents, oldest nephew and me. That was it. Our first Christmas w/o my brother and w/o my longtime surviving grandmother. I got black socks, black sweater and black pants from my parents (they are learning, the awww).. along with a New York and Castles calendar set, my order of pepparkakor and Julmust (YUM!), ties, a Starbucks card, an iPod, a teapot, lots of tea, a mixed goth CD, and my gift to myself: my trip to Denmark in January..
I spent the day looking at a Cold Case Files marathon on my parents ??-inch flat-screen TV in the basement and recovering from tryptophan..
FRIDAY:
Happy Boxing Day! I got up late and piddled about, then went to normal_dan's Black Christmas and White Elephant party, seeing ancient those_who_mourn-ers like cerberus777, urgote and Sarah, lilian_winter, Kirk (lay off the beer, dude), Ralph and Memory.. the gifts were hilarious (I actually kind of wanted the 7-11 gift card hehe), but Ralph's was my favorite: the "living aquarium": all the fun of a real aquarium without the water. Yeah.
SATURDAY:
What on earth am I doing getting up in the MORNING? I could not go back to sleep no matter how hard I tried. It was painful to wake up to that accursion called daylight.
I don't recall much of what I did other than to go to dcmidnight and spellbound_dc for the last time.. [dramatic pause].. in 2008 that is ;)
I ran into in_remission and got his beautiful coat for a very reasonable price; this after purchasing 2 pairs of spectacles from Historical Emporium (I am morphing into in_remission-meets-dreammuse). Also saw Zak and Juliette, risu_tales, Andy, Eric, violinpadraic and Angela, Alex the supposedly gothy hipster wearing indie clothes and didn't yet convince me he is goth (much as he tried haha), shadow27 and pmhrh, dj_transept and loss_of_signal, and many others my befuddled brain cannot process at this hour..

Let's just skip it.
So anyway, that was my last weekend of 2008. Yeah really really late, one year late in fact. ;)
