Rantings from the bonfire
I will be doing a special Christmas rant on Tuesday night or so.. in case you were wondering..
And många tackar till 666daemon666 for the very cool Christmas present that I am much enjoying (much Viking and Gothic metal yumminess!!!)
THURSDAY:
Decided on a whim, hey why not, let's head to Arcadia and experience some dj_dirty_b, and of course, the musical NYC supremacy of dj_transept, and I was definitely not disappointed in either of them, nor in the attendance of Our Kind.. I guess 2501's message got through to the masses and the masses responded.. I picked out anizee and wink_ihsan, anarcha, kit257, vernvonvoid, dj_swank (welcome to the world of spellbound_dc!), shadow27 and pmhrh, Brett, Sean, coffinwolf, Misha, lots o' fun..
FRIDAY:
My computer is BACK! Back baby! Huge thanx to oldsmobile_mike for helping to fix me up and put me back onto Cyberspace to torment you all with my Gothic Vikingness.. or something like that.. So I went to celebrate with a burger and hanging with my demented (and I mean REALLY demented, but in a lovable kind of way) friend Chris (you slut), and got barraged by text messages from Eric about someone he was supposed to meet that made 0% sense to me, but then again, hey, I'm celebrating being off work for 4 days (this after the surprise visit from Mark to my cube area again congratulating me for returning to Frontline).. did I lose you all yet?
Oh yeah and went last-minute shopping for Family and Other Family Christmas items and I'm getting close to.. being nowhere near done
SATURDAY:
I got up nice and late.. nice and laaaaaaaaaate... ok not that late, as the Swedish Eric from Norway calls me up around 2pm (I mean I love the guy but waking me up is WRONG!), and then I can't go back to sleep so it's up to surf and turf and torment the e-masses.. until I'm once again scrambling to get ready for dcmidnight and spellbound_dc..
I got the online Christmas card done:
And then I'm off on my merry way, to...
the mall.
The mall is an evil, wretched place, full of all sort of iniquity, a place of vile ruin and all form of banality. Where the most wicked gather to wield their arts of darkness to bring about the annihilation of mankind.. and those annoying kids..
Though I have to admit I was darkly entertained by the very white, very shiny happy family with their three kids all dressed exactly alike in reindeer outfits.. as I thought to myself: FUTURE FREAKS.. you know it..
I got some more shopping done, and I fled as fast as my little legs could carry me out of there.. and then it was time to cleanse myself among the Freaks.. the Freaks of dcmidnight.. the Freaks of spellbound_dc.. yes.. my kind..
Oh yeah and put oil in my car as it was low, spilling it on my hands, so I was a mix of Drakkar and auto-mechanic..
I arrived first at dcmidnight and saw 666daemon666, dmcindc, coffinwolf, Misha, Marti, Eric, scarydavedc and heleneotroy, kat928, some very nice hugger named Kristin, Marty, Victor (formerly of The City Morgue), Jared, Kitty, Ben SexPot (Who Spun Nightwish!), djsolaries and pragma_x (always an enormous pleasure to see!), rivingmass, exquisitetrash, Vamp, Christy, and apparently by only minutes did I actually miss seeing cerberus777, which really sucked, but only because..
..I was now at spellbound_dc, where I run into violinpadraic, dj_transept, loss_of_signal, and Top Hat Josh (long time no see, and awesome that you're truly BACK with us until you move to Miami), along with shadow27 and pmhrh, Brett, Fabian, and Nightmare Before Christmas (appropriate for the season, I dare say), followed by Edward Scissorhands (way too hard for me to watch)..
..then running back to dcmidnight serendipitously as I left my credit card there as a tab.. but hung for a bit and then left for the night..
SUNDAY:
Again, getting up late and setting up Skype and getting ready for church, on my own terms.. going shopping for more family members and then off to church.. I have such a great time belting it out for the Birthday Boy! cerberus777, Sarah, lilian_winter, Brandon, Amanda, Chloe were all there, Rich Hurst was overjoyed to see me again, Landon showed up for the first time in ages, all of us go to Silver Diner and I even got Mark into the spirit of Freakishness while the subject of deathling and Brian's jobs came up, Old Testament capital punishment laws, and ancient Chinese oil drilling.. then 666daemon666 and his friend Jennifer came and joined us all, which was an absolute treat!! Especially since he brought his laptop over with thousands of tunes, 100 of which he allowed for me to select to create my own Christmas present: Týr, Symphony X, Einherjer, and a touch of Epica and Green Carnation.. this guy has some of the best taste in The Scene today!!! And what a fantastic Christmas present!!
And then I rush all the way out to Arlington to catch Marshall's still open and nearly complete my shopping, thanks to it being open and my Mom being on the phone to guide me through things..
And guess what all? Christmas hasn't officially begun.. oh wait, it's Christmas Eve, so yes it has! :) :)
