Rantings from the bonfire
It is that time of year once again to engorge yourself on piles of dead animal carcasses, to hear the stories of about how Uncle [fill in the blank] caught that two-foot fish - which was one foot last year - and of course, to read yet another long and winding rant from me. Enjoy. Or let the tryptophan kick in and wake up to my rant in the morning as you panic and realize you're late for work.

THURSDAY:
Sorry folks, didn't go to Arcadia.. I didn't feel the urgency to go this time.. but Thanksgiving was a wonderful time (and a great time to sleep) as I went and hung with Mom and Dad for lots of FOOD, it was a nice time to just hang out, eat too much, fall asleep on the couch of my childhood and watch TV.. exciting, isn't it?
FRIDAY:
SLEEP! The blessed act of sleep was a wondiferous thing! I did manage to wake up in time to go to Kinko's yet again to talk to folk until my computer gets a new hard drive, then went to normal_dan's Black Thanksgiving Dinner with cerberus777, urgote and Sarah, lilian_winter, dreammuse, Marion the dcmidnight Door Babe, David and Marian, Amanda, Katie, Becky and Brandon.. smoked turkey = THE YUM.. also ham, stuffing, Amanda's award-winning macaroni casserole (THE YUM), and I had to share the love with Melkesjokollade and of course Djungevrål (muahahaha).. it was a lot of fun, a lot of talk about Pennsic, and the occasional weird conversational twists only those_who_mourn can do so well..
SATURDAY:
I unfortunately had to get up early (10:00AM) to go to the bank, reopen a new savings account, get the rent money order, return a plaque to the Lamb Center from Freak Bowling V from August, and then again, off to Kinko's for more blogging, followed by a trip to the gym in Reston for the first time in several months (it's just too far now), then of course the Gorging continues as I drove next to Herndon for my favorite Mongolian BBQ (mmm MEAT), followed by more blogging time, and then back home to quickly change clothes.. uh.. quickly.. zzzzzz...
Hours later, I woke up just in time to go to dcmidnight followed by spellbound_dc.. At dcmidnight I ran into Eddy, cerberus777, dreammuse, rivingmass, dmcindc (cool!), exquisitetrash, Helen and her friend Leah from Freak Bowling V, Jay, oki_no_akuma, Eric, Oscar, Marti, Kitty, dj_dujour, Bryan, Leyla, kit257, wink_ihsan, a whole lot of young people I have never met...
At spellbound_dc I ran into Todd and Joa again (the yayness!), Sean, verlise, violinpadraic, Dirk, this fabulously dressed girl whose name I forget :(, tuath13, and of course shadow27 and pmhrh, loss_of_signal (finally I get to see him spin!), Matt and dj_transept, xpi, and plenty of wondiferous music!
SUNDAY:
I am back at my parents again for TG Dinner #3 (looking buff and hawt is not going to happen this weekend), watched Shrek 2 and Shrek The Third while there, so all caught up, then off to Silver Diner to hang with cerberus777, urgote and Sarah, Brandon, dreammuse, Chloe and lilian_winter..
May this season remind you to be thankful for what you have, what you were not possibly meant to have and what you someday have!
