Not really applicable - my father died when I was 15, and hadn't been in my life much for three years before that. :/

This is based on my personal relationship with my father.

I can't imagine my father (or my mother, for that matter) talking about sex, ever, let alone talking about masturbation.

(My mother walked in on me masturbating, once. My bedroom door was closed, and she walked in. I jumped, hid my lower body under the covers, and she kept talking as if she hadn't interrupted anything. And it was *never* mentioned. Yes, my family was fucked up.)

sounds normal enough to me given that I had the very same thing happen...my mom walked in on me and not a word was spoken.

but then again, this was the same woman who got really mad AT me when my period started.

Yah, my mother wasn't impressed when I got my period either.

All I can say is your mom must not be easily impressed.

Mortified. (Not squicked/creeped.) He's not supposed to know I would do that sort of thing. I guess "I'm not discussing this" is closest.

I clicked three boxes because both the question and relationship are complex. It was my dad who convinced me that yes it was time to start wearing a bra so pueberty-related questions weren't beyond the pale, although we never specifically discussed *this* one.

I find it inappropriate and creepy in a Joe "check out my daughter's awesome rack!" Simpson way.

I can't imagine discussing masturbation with either of my parents, but the male parent... just wrong.

YMMV, but I can't think by much...
