This story - I just listened to the gentleman in question on CBC. Holy crap, but I cannot imagine being stuck under a semi, in a mangled car, with battery acid dripping on me (detail not in the article, but from the CBC interview), unable to move (spine fractured in 4 places plus a broken radius), for 2 hours while they try to cut you out with the jaws of life, AFTER they find you, and NOT going completely mental....

Aaaaaa..

I think I'm going to go have nightmares now...
