Discoveries...
This weekend I discovered a few things...
1) Air Conditioning was is God's gift to Man. (ps... there's no airconditioning in Russia, so I'm talking from previous experiences)
2) The friendly monthly visitor is God's curse to women.
and drumroll please... There's a 30 min. short film/episode/something coming out for Inuyasha! At least, that's what I think it is... It's title probably has something to do with the black tessaiga, but that might be up in the air? No huge news about whether the anime for Inuyasha will be continuing yet, but there's still a rumor out there about it. So, Inuyasha... ummm... I love it, still obsessed with it, and really looking forward to whatever it is that's coming out on July 30 (but really sad that I won't be able to see it until possibly Aug. 18, since I'm not sure if I can watch it on the computers here... :o( ).
Oh, and I've decided... "The Lucky Ones" fanfic is for my Inuyasha fandom what is prob. almost like "the Window" for all my kakasaku fandom. I just really really like it. It's well written, the characterization is pretty good, it's cute, and although I haven't read the last few chapters of it (it jumps to the present, where Inuyasha and Kagome are alive, but Sango and Miroku have long since gone the way of all mortals :o( ) it's the one fanfic that I had to make sure I copied and pasted while here (so far) to make sure I have something to read. So yeah. Here's the link for it if anyone is interested. Don't get discouraged by the first chapter... the first time I read it, I was like "What's with all this exposition?" and kinda got bored, but that's the only chapter like that and it gets exciting real quick after that. And rereading it, I kinda like the material in it, just not how it opens up everything.
So yeah... a break from the Russia madness I've been having with this journal so far. Everything's going good here. Good weekend, and tomorrow is a "health and beauty" festival here in Yaroslavl we'll be going to. And then this weekend is some traveling and then a trip to someone's Dacha (small summer cottage in the "country" with vegetables and fruits and gardens and stuff). So it's gonna get busy fast here, I think.
Anyway, lunch time. I'm gonna go test my Russian out and try to order some peroshki now :oP see yas!

So it's after lunch (acutally almost dinner now lol) and I was relatively successful with ordering lunch by myself! I just needed some help with remember how to say "not gas" when refering to the water I wanted... instead of saying "not carbonated" 'cause that word is just really long and hard to pronounce... and I really don't like carbonated water.
Anyway, the point of this update is that one of the guys that someone was trying to set me up with last summer contacted me on facebook (umm... I laughed so hard, and my prof gave me this look from the computer next to me lol... oops). He's a nice guy, but I just think it's hilarious. Nice, and I would like to become his friend, but this is just really funny. oh my goodness. Anyway, I just thought I'd share the amusement, because it sure made my day a whole lote amusement-ish. :oP
