I am back on the internets after a looong break... it seems like every time I go home for a short amount of time I give the internet a break and spend my time watching trash tv.  I think it's a combo of finally having a tv, as well as wanting to get off my computer I spend so much time working on for school. Idk.

But anyway!  I'm back in Boston :/ Boooooo.  A case of the blah's has already set in.  I skipped breakfast yesterday, and then today I got up for breakfast but went back to be until about 11:30 or so.  I'm horrible.  But whatever.

My class started last night.  I'm taking Copyediting, and so far it seems... complicated.  I've been a proofreader for one of the journals here so I know some of the copyeditor's marks (even though being a proofreader and a copyeditor are completely different things). But even though I work with words all the time I really need to update some of my grammar stuff.  So when our prof had us convert song titles to correct English and then asked for reasons for our changes, I was like, "IDK what this is called, sorrryyyy."  Whatever, this is why I'm taking this class.  By the end of the class my head was spinning a bit, but I'll pull through it.

Also, since this is a publishing course and most of the people in it are MA students instead of MFA students (aka: publishers/editors instead of writers), there was a bit of bashing of the author in the author/editor relationship.  So I have a feeling there's going to be an argument between who has more rights for correction/editing in a piece: the editor or the author.  You probs have guessed which side I'm on.  This should be fun.

On to a completely different topic... SUPERNATURAL.

I laughed during the last few minutes of the finale.  Will not lie.  I loved the last few episodes (the Dean/Castiel bits were EPIC), and the last episode was exciting.  But... sorry, Cas as God? Like that?  WTF are the writers doing?  It's like they're taking all the bad ideas in fandom and trying to play them out on screen.  It's like they're going "OMG, wouldn't this be cool?!" in the writers' room and trying things just for kicks.

Idk, I just can't bring myself to be more than "Oh. Fine." about the entire thing.  Yes, I'll still watch the show, and omg yes I'll still ship Dean/Cas (nothing can get me to stop), but I'm just viewing the show as a spinoff now, rather than a continuation of what Kripke wrote, if that makes any sense.  I'll see what happens, but I'm just separating myself from it emotionally.  Which sucks, but I can't bring myself to care anymore.

Especially with Misha not being a regular anymore.  I want to know how the writers plan to deal with Cas as the big bad now without having him as a regular and in more of the season.  If anything, their move to making him god-like at the end of the season would have increased his presence in the show, rather than diminish it.  So that's a bunch of bullshit, and just a sign to me that they don't know what they're doing anymore (or else they're being jerked around by the network, but whatever.  There are no excuses for that).

Whatever.  The bottom line:  I'll always love Misha, I'll always love Dean/Castiel, but I'm just disappointed right now.  I'm a writer, and I loved the show for being so fantastic in terms of storyline and character development.  And now those things are just heading downhill and I'm just disappointed.

But, something to celebrate:  Dean/Castiel is TV"s favorite romantic couple!! Wooo!!

Anyway, I'm done.  I should do homework, but... maybe I'll just watch some netflix instead... Or look for the final episode of Sister Wives which I missed on Sunday :P

annoying things, dean/castiel is trufax, dean and cas can rule the world, supernatural, grad school, dean and cas are husbands, supernatural season 6
