rescue dogs, for the most part...

Howdy howdy howdy!  Okay, so I think I'm finally rested up. \o/  The past few days have been really crazy with work, but I'm feelin' energized anyway. Weird? Whatevs.

So my boss's new dog (foster dog, really) is really warming up to me.  My boss came back from her mini vaca today when I was at the house taking care of him and the other dogs she was housing.  And Toby, instead of going over to the boss, came over to me and nuzzled up to me and followed me around.  She was shocked, and pleased because it shows he could turn out to be a really great dog when he gets used to people.  I'm just glad he's turning out okay, y'know?  I might be taking him to an adoption on Saturday, but still have to hear from the boss.  She's leaving again tomorrow for vaca, won't be back until the 11th. So I'll be taking care of Toby until then (minus the SPN convention days :o)  He really is a sweet dog.  Tbh, if I didn't have my own dog I'd offer to bring him home with me while she was away.  But... I have Teddy, and Teddy is my baby. And I can't bring a huge dog home... Teddy would be a wreck.

So anyway, I've been dealing with this rescue dog, and today I see this commercial on tv. Needless to say, I started bawling in front of the mom and sister.  I think this commercial will speak for itself:

I really wish people would rescue more dogs.  I mean, I know it's hard... with the abused dogs, it takes work to get them to trust people again.  It takes more work to get an abused dog to become a pet people don't have to worry about, sometimes.  And yes, some dogs are probably beyond saving :o( But... I mean, with so many dogs (and cats) out there without homes, it just makes me sad.  And then there are people breeding their dogs and cats just because they want puppies and kittens.  With so many lives out there that could be bettered, why bring more lives into the picture?

Sorry, I'm done... it just makes me really sad that some dogs and cats don't get the love and the great lives they deserve.  With just a little bit of effort and love, they could be fabulous companions.

Anyway, yeah, on a kinda different note, since the boss will be going on vaca again tomorrow, that also means I'll be housesitting starting tomorrow.  Which means no internets at night D:  Idk how I feel about this.  Good news, I won't have internets to distract me from writing.  Bad news? I finally feel awake enough to peruse the internets and will be without distractions, but won't have internet access.  *complaincomplaincomplain*

Anyway, yeah... so I'm off to catch up on internets like I haven't really done since before the weekend, really.

Also, I finally got my mom to watch Drop Dead Dive :o) And she likes it :oD I love this show lol.  AND Amelia Novak was on one episode, as well as the crossroads demon that Dean dealt with to bring Sam back at the end of season 2. So, yay SPN connections! \o/
