So I spent the rest of the day writing fanfic like I promised myself. And thus, the newest fanfic is over 16,000 words.
I don't know whether to be proud or horrified that that's almost as long as the beginning of the novel I handed in as a final project for my novel class during sophomore year of undergrad.
Um... yeahhh.
But I think I might be all writered-out for a few days (or at least a few hours? psh, who am I kidding... by the time I make myself another cup of tea I'll be ready to start again, and that's... not healthy ugh).
But yeah, I'm liking where it's going, and it's been a fun project to work on. Still need to do lots of editing, and still have two more scenes to write, but we'll see what happens. It's Dean/Castiel, and inspired by
awesomepants87 's request for domestic!fic. My brain warped it a bit, and so it's turned into a fic that's set during the apocalypse but has Dean and Castiel raising/looking after a toddler Castiel pulled from the wreck of a "survivor's camp" that Dean, Castiel, and Sam failed to save. Kind of a domesticity during the apocalypse thing? lol. I'm lame, I know.
For the first time I am seriously dreading going to work tomorrow. I'm so not in the mood to go and deal with customers. Luckily, I'm going in at 3, so it's a shortish day.
The End.
