thank you for the expressed sympathy. weird thing is i feel rather good at the moment. i have trouble believing it. there's still some difficulty with swallowing and i suspect the hives are just taking a break, but for some odd reason i don't feel so dead tired anymore and the paracetamol i had an hour ago didn't result in me sweating like a beast ( Read more... )

?as far as i know, my email is not broken. have you been having trouble reaching me?

i'm pretty good already. tonight i even attended a party from my study association. all i'm left with is a little soreness of the throat. maybe tomorrow will be worse because i spent too much energy tonight, but the way things have been going, i don't expect it. *knock knock* if this is all my Pfeiffer's is going to do to me, i'm very happy. i'm keeping my fingers crossed.

because of kissing disease? yeah, i have been doing a lot of kissing obviously, but i still wonder if that's how i got Pfeiffer's. i mean, my doctor said "they call it kissing disease, but that's nonsense." ?! i wonder why he said that. maybe most people attract it in another way? my doctor did also say that half of the people have had it by age twelve and most of them even unnoticed. so, yeah, i don't see under-twelves attracting a disease from sticking their tongues in other kids' faces. so maybe that's what he meant.

anyway, since Emily is in Greece, there's no kissing at the moment. damn. oh well, she'll be back sunday, and i guess that's pretty soon. woohoo!

luckily i got a lot better over the weekend, when i visited my parents. but otherwise, i had much rather had her here. then she could have made me soup and stuff like that. she did pack me a bag with snacks and tea bags and such before she left. i haven't had any yet, though. it's just not nice drinking tea by yourself. you need other people or a comfortable atmosphere, which my room isn't.

i hope to be moving to Rotterdam soon. my sister now, since a week, has a job and a house and we're hoping that when she moves out of her room, her landlord will let me take it. that room is a lot nicer. maybe then i'll make some tea every now and then.
