Yeah! I don't ROLL THEM 20'S TOO HARD but I really enjoy it all. Have never had any kind of stable group or whatever, the closest I've ever gotten was fairly recently playing with like 5 IRL friends online using skype for voice chat and some software for DM'ing... after like 3 2-hour sessions everybody quit except for my wife and I because we were "taking it too seriously" since we wanted to roll play characters instead of like just board-gaming it or something. It was really lame, we totally weren't even nerding out or anything either!

It looks like 3E and moreso now 4E really are based on miniatures/boards which is fine, but that's slightly intimidating to get involved with in a casual manner just because there's so much gear you need. I like the idea that it lays out clearly what's going on though - it can get really confusing as to where everyone physically is in the game and so on...

Any tips/ideas on how we could get started up on 4E the quickest/easiest/cheapest from the perspective of just 2 people playing (1 DM 1 PC w/multiple chars), possibly expanding out at a later date?

The easiest no stress way to play would be to go go to an RPGA event. Just have to bring your character.

Join (yahoo groups) LFRNEUSA or DC-RPGA (aren't you close to DC?) Vic Morales kinda runs the DC group and he is very cool.
