Needles & Pins
This didn't exactly take me a very long time to put together, but it was long overdue I believe. I'm not exactly the biggest fan of Kara Thrace, but I do enjoy her. 2 appearances by 2 different bands/people and everything is a mixture. Most of them are "you'll get it when you hear it" and unable to be explained in detail by myself. So I present to you my latest mix, Needles & Pins.
Bossy by Lindsay Lohan
I know, LL? Really? But yes. This song embodies Starbuck. She's one bossy bitch. "Stop touching me without permission" and stuff like that. Things are done her way and everything else. So it fits really perfectly in this.
Don't Stop Me Now by Queen
When the girl is on a roll, she's on a roll. She enjoys having a good time when she can and she'll usually use whatever chance she has to do such. Even if it's in the cockpit.
Shoot For Thrill by AC|DC
She does. Especially when she's on Caprica getting the Arrow of Apollo. She shoots some Cylons in the ass. lol.
Break On Through by The Doors
This is another one that covers her time on Caprica. Especially when she was in hiding with Helo and stuff for a while. You'll notice other little things about this songs that make sense to that time as well.
Right Love, Wrong Time by Anuhea
This is obviously Kara and Lee. Covers them a bit.
Tears Dry On Their Own by Amy Winehouse
Another covering Kara and Lee. This is REALLY them. Especially when every time it seemed they were going to get together, they never did. Kara's tears dried on their own. She was never hurt by them not being together.
Fucking Boyfriend by The Bird and The Bee
This is more Kara and Sam. They was an instant connection between the two. Especially with all the frakking they did.

Title track. When you hear this, you will know why it's the title track. Every time she saw Lee, she still had these feelings between eachother and she would constantly run away. And her feelings toward Dee with Lee. And Lee always felt the same way toward Kara. So yeah. You'll really get this.

This is more the events that occured in Unfinished Business. And you'll pick that up quickly I believe.
Preparedness by The Bird and The Bee
"Do you know who I am? I'm alive you understand." This is when Kara came back to the fleet after she died and stuff. The way she knew she was set with a mission even though no one else did. She knew it.
Out of My Mind by James Blunt
When she came back to the fleet, she was a bit nuts. She knew where she was from, she knew she had to lead the people to Earth. She knew, herself, that she was crazy as well I believe. So that's where this comes into play.
Autumn Cannibalist by Die Mannequin
This song is ALL Kara. It's very hard sounding. It was Kara's last real kick with Lee, even though she was more devoted to the now Cylon!Sam than ever since he was hurt.
The Power by Cher
Kara when she's on New!Earth. And you'll understand it because of the subtle references it makes toward other things. "The King is crying from his throne, he had a queen but know she's gone." Kara is The Power, obviously.
Are You With Me? by Vaux
This almost became the title track. It's Kara kind of saying "I'll be back" and everyone kind of knows it. Another harder song. You'll get it.
