Why Did We Need a Sequal to Phantom of the Opera Again?

Oh! I totally get it now, Andrew Lloyd Webber! "Love Never Dies" is a clever social commentary on Twilight! The title isn't a cliche--it's an allusion to vampires! The creepy lyrics about love infiltrating your soul and equating it with posession are supposed to make you consider that perhaps the violent, stalkery kind of OBSESSION "love" the Phantom claims he has for Christine is NOT HEALTHY.

The heartfelt love song the Phantom sings, dreaming of hearing Christine sing again, isn't actually supposed to make you seriously feel like the Phantom is a jilted lover--it's supposed to make you shout, "UM, you stalked her and nearly raped her and tried to murder her fiance and used him as leverage to try and make her marry you against her will, which, again, RAPE!" and is a clear parallel to Edward's creepy, unhealthy obsession with Bella! It ALL MAKES SENSE NOW!

Oh wait... what's that?

You meant it seriously.

Oh.

Just. Oh.

wts?!, music
