Have you guys gone to the website to find out what channel the n is moving to? not sure where everyone lives, but I'm seeing many of us Americans are having the channel move from what was the basic cable package (cheapest) to digital cable (most expensive and costing about $20-30 more/month ( Read more... )

Wow. I was sure I'd be fine, because I had at least one tier of some of the digital cable through time warner. Come to find out, no, it's on one of the higher tiers. Just when I'd been able to cut some things off of my cable bill.

I am really not pleased.

Although it's worth mentioning for me it'll only cost $5 or so to upgrade, if memory serves. But it's still annoying.

And now I am reading that the Best Years is cancelled. What. The. Hell. $5/mo is starting to sound like too much for 2 shows they don't even show year round.

I'm trying to find out if there's a way to get episodes of Degrassi and SoN elsewhere since they're all I watch on the n anyway.

boo for the loss of TBY and for finding out that it's not 24/7 the n, it's daytime kids Nickelodeon and night time the n, so it's no better off than now, just on a more expensive channel!

(according to my cable company, the upgrade is about $20/mo)

Wait. It's seriously going to be just like Nick during the day? There's not even going to be a mix? Did I miss a press release or something?

The-N, what are you doing? We watch you for maturity, not tween crap.

yes, it's Nick during the day with the teen Nick shows that also air on regular Nick. then at night, per usual, it'll be the n

the reason TBY was canceled is that they're trying to get a younger audience, so it'll be degrassi and south of nowhere (episodes findable on myspace) but also saved by the bell and fresh prince (on many other networks) as well as some more teen stuff. for sure not worth an additional per month cost since it seems I'll only watch for 2 shows of which can be found online.

In addition, Degrassi is done after this season (planned ending for several years since the kids will all graduate) so we'll be down to SoN and Instant Star, and it wouldn't surprise me if they end those to end that demographic

I've read a release somewhere (sorry, lost the link and meant to post this yesterday) that South of Nowhere is available on iTunes. I've seen degrassi pop up pirated from canada at least during last season so hopefully that's out there as well.

Hope that helps!
