I think that if the United States is still gonna keep shortchanging people on the length of their vacations, they should take those extra days and distribute them throughout the year so most work weeks are only four days.
There isn't enough of a discrepancy to make every week only four days, so can make the five-day weeks fall whenever temperatures outside are least pleasant. If you're gonna be cooped up inside an extra day some weeks anyway, it may as well be in a snowstorm (in the north) or the dog days of August (in the south).
