... which is nice.
I haven't posted in a while, so we'll do a quick update. Not bulletin style though, I can't be stealing Richard's style.
Thanks to my friend A to the 'shley AKA Ashbot Zombis AKA That girl that fell asleep in my recliner during the Falcon's game AKA ashley nobis, Emma da Cat is going to be getting a friend sometime soon. The way I look at it, I'm not home much so Emma would be less lonely if she had someone to play with. Additionally, since you can't keep having children to you raise one right, but you can cats ... I'm hoping to teach this one it is:
a) fun to cuddle with daddy
b) bad to bite daddy
c) wrong to do anything that daddy dislikes
... all with a minimum of slapping of the head.
The best part of all is the new little kitty's name: Lil' Vick. Now mind you, I have never seen this cat ... it's yet to be birthed at last check. Plus it'll need a few weeks to get on it's feet before I can rip it away from it's mother and bring it to Casa de Diddy. But all the same, I'm quite excited. What do you think of the name? It's quite awesome isn't it.
Other things, other things ... Me and Coco have decided to start our own intramural team for the upcoming sports ... we will play under the name Diddy Diddy Coco Puff. If you have any interest in joining our team then let me know. We'll win (or try to) but we'll have fun. Look at how far I've come to say that ... aren't you proud of me D?
What else, what else ... I have decided to postpone going to law school for another year for several reasons:
a) To become fully independent (financially)
b) To pay off my escalating medical bills and my new laptop
c) To retake the LSAT because I can do better than a 157
d) To ensure that this is what I want to do with my future.
Along that note, I'm also planning on taking the GRE Physics again. Why? Because I love physics, and would like it to be a part of my life, and because I think I can do better than the atrocious score I made last time. I've already started working on it. It's hard, there is ALOT to be remembered. Probably alot to be learned. But it's quite rewarding. I know I can do it, I just have to be willing to give it a shot.
So what I'm tentatively looking at are: Ph.D. programs in Physics (because I have always wanted it), J.D. programs in law (because I think I could like it) and joint J.D./Ph.D. program in both (which would require more work than I have ever done in my life, but I think would be quite rewarding).
What I do know, is that I don't want to wake up five years from now and still be coming to work at Centenary. That's what's going on with me scholastically.
A quick note ... I have accepted an invitation to go out to dinner with my father and his girlfriend sometime next week. I'm not particularly excited about it, but I am glad I get to get the dirt on her and report back to Alison ... at which point we will gossip about her for hours. It should be entertaining to say the least. I know this woman is a poker player, so perhaps I can take some money from her at the same time.
Final thing ... I feel I have become disconnected with many of those that read this in the past few months from getting caught up in my own life ... so I suggest we have a party sometime soon. It was good seeing Liz and Lexie yesterday ... and I just want to let ya'll know how much you mean to me. So I think we should hang out. The last party I had didn't go too well from a personal standpoint, but it was fun calling The Bunny Ranch to find out how much it would cost to have a prostitute lay on the bed eating watermelon, using something other than her mouth to smoke a cigarette. So expect some finalization on that at some point in the upcoming weeks.
Have a good one my children.
