what a day, what a day
Lemme tell ya about my day.
I put a bid on my very first house in Washington. It's got a fenced backyard, a deck off the kitchen, a basement, a nice front porch, two bedrooms, and the obligatory kitchen and living room. Monthly payment with taxes and insurance would be equal to rent for a crappy little one-room apartment. I can take advantage of the tax incentive for first-time home buyers which is a 10% refund of purchase price. And that's AMAZING. The house hasn't had a bid yet and has been on the market for over 90 days. The DAY I put the only bid that house has had, my real estate lady calls and says someone ELSE put a bid in too. Now did someone really put a bid in, or are they trying to get me to jack up my offer? Either way, I did because I want the stupid house...and I'm gullible. I'm waiting to hear back if I get the house. I will find out tomorrow. Pretty much I'll be very sad if I don't get it. I've already imagined all my crap there.
So there's THAT. To top it off, I had an interview for a first-grade teaching position at a school in Washington. I don't think I did very well for the interview. I just get so nervous that my mind goes blank and I don't know what I'm saying. I could have elaborated so much more on certain questions....blah...oh well. I have a job either way so it's not a terrible situation to be in.
Anywho, it's been an eventful day. I find out tomorrow about the house and the job. It could either be a very good day or very very bad day. I'll be sure to let you know.
