Progress
Finally, finally making headway with chapter 8 of Soul *air punch* The problem has been not only lack of energy, but also a general lack of clarity about the structure, specifically, in what order certain things should proceed. I think I've got it figured now, though. The chapter is 4k so far, and with that much again of notes and sketched scenes to fill in, this one's gonna be looooong. I'm pretty determined not to split it up again, but it might mean going over EF's stupid word limit (why do they even?) Come to think of it, does LJ still have a word limit? (Damnit, it does). Urgh. Anyway, I'm packing in lots of thematic stuff, foreshadowing, S5/6/7 canon references, all things that make me happy :) Plus shippiness, with actual nudity, things that make me even happier.
As of right now, what I have typed up and fully-fleshed out, is 32k worth of fic. I am wincingly going to predict that it'll end up over 50k. I still remember when I thought this would be a short little 8k piece. Lol, self. Lol.
