Well, that went better than expected

For a long time, the thing I've been most worried about with Nano is the daily word count - 1667 words per day if you do 7 days a week, or 2000 words 6 days a week. With the move looming, I thought it would be best to plan for a full day off each week, so I went for the latter. Thing is, 2k would be a good fanfic day, let alone writing original ( Read more... )

They say: "Well planned is half done" - and "Really well planned never gets done." so I guess the best planning is somewhere in the middle... Sounds that you have it down pat, amazing!

(I noticed the music tag and Lana Del Rey - I know that once again I have been under the proverbial rock, but I just started to listen to her recently. I always thought she was a pop singer or some such - how wrong was I!)

I know right? She's amazing! I've been hearing her voice on the radio for some time now, but never catching her name. In the end I memorised a lyric and put it into google! Summertime Sadness has kind of become the anthem for this story.

As for planning... it still remains to be seen :) But so far, so good.

Since I started to listen to her, I have also had a brief glimpse into some of the controversies about her - have you? I don't really buy into that, though. She is an artist and does things her way, she is not some self appointed role model...

I am in awe of 'Blue Jeans', 'Video Games' and 'Ride'...

Well, I hadn't heard of it, but now I've just skimmed google and tbh, to me it just looks like a bunch of hipsters up in arms, coupled with a healthy dose of sexism.

Can't stand hipsters anyway, so go Lana!
