What a rocking episode! I thought last week's was a bit slow, but they made up for it this week without a doubt.
The very first scene, where Cersei and Robert visit Ned -- absolutely perfect. I hadn't really bought Mark Addy as Robert until this moment, and Lena Headey continues to be the Cersei of my imagination. "I shall wear this as a badge of honour." ♥
Sansa! Oh my dear heart, I was duped by Joffrey right along with you this episode. She's not the Sansa of the books, but she's so, so right for her new age, so obnoxiously, recognisably teenage. The scene with Septa Mordane, ouch, yes, that withering look of scorn is familiar :D
Daenerys! I really like the way the actress is playing her -- giving her that ethereal, mythical quality her character has in the books, without overdoing it imo. When Viserys drew his sword in front of everyone in Vaes Dothrak, you could see on her face that she knew he was dead, even before he'd threatened her, and that she both regretted what was to come and didn't. And while we're at it, the actor playing Viserys did a pretty good job too. The moment where he thinks Drogo is going to come good with his army... yeah... he's really brought the madness of the Targaryens to life. And Daenerys's final words, "he was no dragon..." *shiver*
And Arya and Sansa when Ned told them they had to go back home. And and and! *runs off to watch ep7*
