So, when I bought my PS3 in June 2008, I got the Walmart 3 year extended warranty. This past October, I got the Yellow Light of Death (similar to the 360's RRoD, but much less common). I sent it in to Walmart and about 10 days later, I got it back working perfectly. About a month later, it died again. Walmart said it has to break 3 times before I get a refund, so I sent it in again. While it's gone, Walmart started a PS3 deal in their stores: buy a $300 PS3slim and get a $100 gift card. I picked one up, justifying it as I'll eventually need a new one, and this way I can play on my new one while I wait for my old one to die a third time, then when it does I'll get my original purchase price back from Walmart. I've had my old one hooked up and running a few hours a day for the past 2 months, and it's running like a champ. No issues at all. Go figure.

So yeah, I have a second PS3 that's not really being used at all. Want to borrow/have it for a while? I need to figure out how to get it to you... I still have the custom formed box that Walmart used to send it back to me. I could ship it to you with any games you want to borrow. Here's my insane collection and backlog. There's no guarantee that it won't break as soon as you get it, but it's acting completely fine so far, so maybe Walmart actually fixed it this time.
