A couple of favorites
It's Sunday evening, and I did listen to my very favorite radio show. I smile and laugh a lot every Sunday from 4 to 5 p.m. Harry was not up to his usual standard this week, but everyone has a down day now and then.
I'm reading a collection of essays by Christopher Hitchens, a Brit who writes as much or more about the U.S. compared to those essays dealing with the U.K. His essays fall into a number of categories, but a lot of them are criticisms of other authors, political analyses, and sometimes just out-and-out rants. I find that I agree with him on most issues, especially political ones. He has been added to my list of favorite writers since I started reading this collection, which is 750 pages long, not including the extensive index.
