Just saw another episoide of Seinfeld; I beleive I enjoyed it more than last time, yup, I can feel my enjoyment kicking up a notch with each episoide: I'm definetly getting the DVD!
By the way, why are DVD's so expensive nowadays? Seriously; I'm sitting here, thinking of all the DVD's I'd like to get, yet they all cost so bloody much: Seinfeld series 1,2&3 is 40 quid, Sopranos series 1 is 25 quid (or 50 on Play!), and only runs 13 episoides, Curb Your Enthusiasm is just as expensive and only runs for 10, and the same deal with six feet under. The only reasonably priced DVD's I can find anywhere are Millennium season 3, which goes for 30 quid (but has 23 episoides on it), and the Shining, which retails, on HMV only, at 5.99. Apart from that, they're all so fucking expensive. Why? Do manufacturers still think we're pulled in by the crappy special features and so on like when they were first released? Evidently so, as they're still selling single movies for as much as 19.99 on DVD in some places! It's fucked. No wonder I'm buying more second handers. Especially since Play, who used to be GREAT for DVD's went all corporate (yeah, it's just a word) and started advertising on tv, then upping their previously low prices to more expensive than most. Cunts.
That being said, I'll probably still buy more from proper retailers; I just have a weakness for DVD's and movies in general. Soon as I get my job back and more money in the bank I'm getting Soprano's series one (I've already got the money for Seinfeld...).
Still, that doesn't mean I'm happy about it.
