so i settled my insurance claim...

don't get me wrong, that's a phat load of cash. i'm not being greedy, well actually i am, but ok, i know that's plenty of money to make up for all the shit that i've had to go through since october, but suffice it to say that i was expecting more. more like $3000. but oh well. my medical bills were only $1045, and i heard that they usually just double the medical bills and send you a cheque, which would only have been $2,090. so i got a pretty good deal. damn my healthy 18-year old body for healing so fast! i could've gotten a lot more if i would have had to take more trips to the chiropractor. arrrrr..the curse of being in good health i suppose..
i guess they originally wanted to give me $1200, but then i told them that the accident had gotten me behind in my psych class, and that my grade fell because of that, so they gave me another $700, just for psychology! which is awesome. $700 for falling behind in school... it's too bad they don't pay people for falling behind more often cuz i'd be filthy rich..
but anyway, the company called me today and this lady offered me $1200, plus the $700 compensation for psychology, so she offered me $1900. so i was like "uuuuuuh...yeah i'll get back to you on that..." so i called her back and said, (in a nutshell) "dude..you're giving me the shaft here.." so she raised it to $1600+$700, so i settled for a total of $2,300. which isn't bad. it'll pay for all of the car upgrades i want to make (to the sound system, neon, etc), and maybe an MP3 player and a new wireless keyboard/mouse. what i really want right now tho is a new leather office chair for my desk..
i'm just glad it's all over and that tomorrow is friday and spring break starts. i'm gonna do some str8 up mackin'
