Ed Roscha's exhibition Road Tested would be one of her favorites for a long time to come. It was all about the places and things you find on a road trip and of course, the cars. They were truly amazing. The group that had been assembled had listened to the lecture given by a leading expert then gathered in the galleries for a private reception. These sort of functions were all about networking and the people that you knew. It was name dropping, talking business and asking how they all are since the last function from the previous year. Or so was her experience from previous years. This time was different though. She really had something to share this time with anyone who would listen. Thankfully they did and many promised to be out for the opening. She would believe them when she saw them but she could at least count on a couple of people to make it out. She took a sip of her wine as she made her way through the exhibit. She studied the pieces and really wished she could have one hanging up in her home.
The visit from Rico earlier that day was still on her mind. She was glad at least that he apologized for making it seem as though all artists were creepy people hiding behind a artistic license. Okay, it wasn't really what he had said that was staying on her mind. It was also the fact that he was so concerned for his daughters well fair that he came to talk to her and check the area out himself. Course, his looks were also on her mind - he truly was a handsome man. Allison shook her head inwardly with a sigh, if any man would be out of her league, it would be him. Undoubtedly and truly. Just wait until Brianna heard about this one - she was sure she would get a kick out of it.
She took a long sip from her glass and moved on to the next piece.
