Max brought a bottle of water to the court with him,,leaving his keys with Ruth who was exploring the neighborhood, since it turned out to her excellent luck (or serendipity and she'd quite confidently tell him) that Jack lived in the neighborhood as the Health Center she was interviewing at. Max thought the idea of Ruth working at a Health Center a bit funny but a job was a job.
He stretched a bit, loosening muscles that were out of practice. Had been too long since he'd gone to a court, if only to just shoot some hoops, though he hoped maybe some folks would join and get a game going. He dribbled a bit, going in for a layup, which went in neatly. Still got it, he thought smugly.
