Max had shaved that morning, hating to see the scruff he'd gotten used to go, but for a new job, and one with this level of responsibility, he'd have to make sacrifices. Especially when the client was someone as hard to impress as Ms. Jack Avery. Remembering how frosty she was on the phone.he finished getting ready, tidying himself up and pulling on one of his nicer coats over top of the dark denim button down shirt. which he actually tucked in. It wouldn't make sense to go formal, and really, no one would believe he was good with his hands if he went all formal anyway.
He arrived at the address he'd been giving, observing the park across the way that she'd mentioned. Parking, he looked at the house for a long moment. It was older, so it definitely needed renovations, ut it was also in good shape, and wouldn't be as difficult to work on as some of the buildings he'd one in the past. He ran a hand over his hair one last time before trotting up the steps and ringing the doorbell.
