Summary: After almost two weeks, Jasper finally decides to call Miranda.

It might have been somewhat presumptuous to call her on a Friday night, but Jasper had been so busy in the past two weeks that this was really the first chance he'd had to call Miranda. Abby was asleep, there was nothing that needed to be done tonight that couldn't wait until tomorrow night or even until Monday when he was off and Abby was in school and he'd have more time to do things.
He wasn't exactly sure what he was going to say to her, as he knew his interest in her was more than friendly, but he wasn't looking for anything more than friendship with her, which just sounded like a contradiction in his own head. He just didn't think he was quite ready to date again, and he'd really like to get to know Miranda better as a friend before seriously considering asking her out on a date, anyway.
With those thoughts in his head, Jasper went ahead and pressed the call button, bringing the phone to his ear as he waited for Miranda to answer.
