Nellie had only gotten a few nibbles on her blog about a place to stay, and one of them was out of the question as she knew she would feel like she was being parented with a couple of her parents’ age. She didn’t rely totally on her blog, though. She’d already been through the local paper-trust Elliot to get the paper-and trawled Craigslist a couple of times. As with all internet things, she utilized them very well while maintaining her caution.
She’d made a couple of appointments today already, and the first had definitely not gone well. She did not want a fuckbuddy for a roommate, thank you very much. And it wasn’t prudishness that kept it from it, just… no. She hoped this one went better. She pushed back her hair and smiled as she approached the house, sending Elliot a text so he’d know where she last was if this person was a serial killer or something.
She knocked on the door of the largish house. It was a bit bigger than she’d thought of going into, but it would all depend on what the other person wanted for rent. She was also job hunting right now, and hoped to have something soon. It didn’t really matter what, she’d take anything for the moment.
