Gigi traded shifts at the shop so she could have the night off. Not that she was looking to be social, but Soli had invited her and she’d be a pretty pathetic friend if she said no. It also gave her a good excuse to avoid Miah some more, because yeah, she was still being a chicken about talking to him. She was pretty sure that he hadn’t caught on yet, or if he had, he wasn’t pressing her to find out why. Either way, she'd take any excuse to be away from the house.

She parked her bike where she figured it would take up the least amount of space since she didn’t know how many people Damien and Soli had invited to this thing. Which, okay, she also wasn’t looking to be stuck in a room with a bunch of people she probably didn’t know. Lesser of two evils and all that shit though.

Making her way up to the apartment door, she didn’t bother knocking, checking the knob instead to see if it was unlocked; probably rude, but she didn’t think anyone would call her on it. “Hey Princess,” She called out as she stepped through the door, setting her bag and helmet where it would be out of the way, “Need help with anything?”

Soli was insanely excited about tonight, this was the first time she and Damien were having people over, well, people besides Jasper that is. Sometime she was surprised that Damien's best friend came around at all, she had taken to harassing him a bit, only because it was so easy to make him blush. It still amused her sometimes that he and Damien were close, although they were both nice guys, even if Damien had a bit of a wild streak in him, it was that wild streak that she loved so much.

She was in the kitchen when she heard the door open and Gigi call out. "Menina, in here." Soli called, poking her head out of the kitchen so that Gigi would know where here was. Unlike when she and Damien would have Jasper and Abby over, Soli wasn't cooking tonight, which felt kind of odd because she had become accustom to cooking. "Could use a hand carrying this stuff out." She continued, motioning towards the few bowls of chips and such she had sitting on the counter.

As she waited for her friend to step into the kitchen, she wondered what smart remark Gigi might have about what she was wearing. Soli was of the opinion that even though they were having company over, it was still her apartment and she was still going to be comfortable, plus she maybe knew that Damien always got just a tad distracted whenever she wore the off the shoulder shirt, and she would need to employ any kind of distraction she could in order to at least be passable at poker.

Gigi raised an eyebrow when she stepped into the kitchen and caught what Soli was wearing. It was kind of casual, like ‘this is what I’d wear to bed’ casual. “You feeling okay?” She asked picking up one of the bowls that Soli said needed carrying out, “’Cause it looks like actually getting dressed was too much work for you.” She smirked, already feeling like spending the night at Damien and Soli’s playing poker was a better idea than staying home. At least she could throw up a front here, and the only one who’d even come close to figuring it out would probably be Soli.

“And if I’d know I could've worn whatever the hell I wanted I wouldn't have bothered changing out of my cutoffs and t-shirt.” She added as she carried the bowl out of the kitchen and set it down, saying ‘hey’ to Damien real quick as she passed him. “Are you even wearing a bra under that thing?” She asked Soli as she came back in and hopped up onto the counter, swinging her legs absently.

Soli caught her best friend's raised eyebrow and was simply waiting for whatever comment she might have that went along with that look, because that was Gigi's 'what in the hell' look. "I'm feeling fine." She replied with a wave of her hand. Rolling her eyes, Soli just shook her head. "Nobody said there was a dress code, Menina." Soli's tone was dry as she spoke. "And this is my apartment and I wanted to be comfortable." She was also hoping to distract Damien just a bit, but she didn't really think Gigi needed to know that part.

"You knew damn well you could have worn whatever you wanted, it's not like I would have cared." Soli remarked as she placed a hand on her hip and eyed Gigi. She continued to do a few things in the kitchen as Gigi took the bowl out and came back in. "Sim, I'm wearing a bra." She answered as she pulled the hem of her shirt up and flashed Gigi. "See." It wasn't out of line for Gigi to have asked, since really Soli would have been prone to not wear a bra. When she had been dressing earlier she had asked Damien's opinion if she should or shouldn't, because she wasn't always 'proper' and Damien sometimes had a better handle on these things. He hadn't said 'yes' or 'no', but there had just been something in the way his facial expressions shifted that made her gut reaction be to wear one. Soli hadn't asked what the expression was about, and maybe she would later after everyone left.

“That is one god-awful piece of lingerie, Sol.” Gigi replied mildly, the corners of her mouth quirking up, “I mean, what the fuck, it’s leopard print and multicolored. Thought you had better taste than that.” She leaned forward on the counter, resting her elbows on her knees, “Or at least the budget to buy something that didn’t look cheap.” Granted, Gigi owned some cheap looking things too, but that was because she couldn’t really afford the same kinds of things that Soli could.

“God, please tell me you didn’t wear that thing ‘cause you’ve got some crazy idea that strip poker’ll be fun.” She made a face at the idea. She’d be sunk if that was Soli’s scheme, since she was only wearing her favorite red leather pants and a gray knit top, so aside from her panties she didn’t have many layers to lose. Unless her motorcycle boots counted, then that’d bring her total items up to five. "'Cause that's not gonna go over real fucking great, Princess."

Soli rolled her eyes and stuck her tongue out at Gigi. "It is not, it's fun. There's a difference." She pointed out dryly. "And this isn't that bad." Gigi could crow all she wanted about the bra and Soli didn't care. She liked it and Damien had never had an objection to it, and in her mind that was all that mattered. "It also wasn't cheap." Soli had a feeling that Gigi was maybe just trying to get a rise out of her, and she had to admit she kind of enjoyed that about their friendship. They gave each other so much crap, and yet Soli always knew she could count on Gigi for almost anything.

"Deus, I don't always angle for nudity." Soli remarked, pausing barely a beat. "Just almost always." The smirk she wore was just a hint mischievous, though she had a feeling that strip poker wouldn't be happening, though the idea was amusing, at least to her. "You think?" She asked, quirking an eyebrow and wondering why Gigi thought it wouldn't go over well.

"If fun is synonymous with tacky, then sure.” Gigi muttered with a shrug. She snorted a laugh when Soli stated that it hadn’t been cheap either. Gigi just didn’t get color and pattern and all that shit; Or she did, since it was essentially art, but it just wasn’t her thing. “Guess there’s no accounting for taste.” She smirked, shrugging her shoulders. “Give me plain old black any day.”

Gigi gave Soli an incredulous look. Really, Soli couldn’t figure out how strip anything with this group wasn’t going to be a good idea. “Far as I know it’s just Damien, Jasper and Ezra for guys.” She started, “Ezra could really give a damn about naked women, Damien only wants to see you naked, and Jasper probably wouldn’t participate ‘cause he kind of seems like a prude.” She shrugged her shoulders again, “And I can guarantee not a one of them really gives a damn about seeing my skinny ass naked, and I don't really want to see them naked either. So yeah, not going to fly.” She’d heard Ezra mention something about a couple of friends of his, but it wasn’t like she’d want to bare all to a couple of strangers either. She just wasn’t that much of an exhibitionist.

"Deus, it's not like I'm asking you to wear it." Soli remarked dryly. "Just because all of your bras, when you choose to wear one, are black doesn't mean mine have to be." She continued, fighting back a smirk as she tried to get a rise out of her friend. "To each their own." She chirped. "Life would be boring if everyone liked and wore the same thing."

Soli knew Gigi made very valid points, that didn't mean she was going to attempt to knowing that strip poker would not be happening, not with this group. "Get enough alcohol in someone and they'll do just about anything." She replied with a shrug, speaking from experience just a bit. "I could poll them to see if any one of them would want to see you naked?" This was said more for reaction then an honest desire to do it. "And you might not be interested in any of them, but I'm sure not a one of them looks half bad naked.....well, I know Damien doesn't anyway." She smirked and wondered when Gigi would find something to throw at her.

“It’s not like anyone sees what I wear.” Gigi muttered, and most of the people who did she never saw again, so it wasn’t like their opinions on her underwear really mattered to her. “Hell, could you just imagine everyone wearing leather? That’d be kind of fucked up. Or all that boho shit you like.” She gave an exaggerated shudder, smirking at Soli, “Pretty fucking lucky, if you ask me.”

“Stop it.” Gigi said evenly, narrowing her eyes at Soli. “You aren’t going to do any kind of fucking poll.” How embarrassing would that be; Soli walking into the other room and asking how many of it’s occupants wanted to see her naked, just thinking about it made her cringe. She was pretty sure Sol knew her well enough to know that doing that would be a bad idea. “They’re not my type. Didn’t say they wouldn’t look good naked though, ‘cause yeah, pretty fucking sure they would.” God, why was she admitting that? It was just giving Soli more to work with. “And we are totally done talking about this before that brain of yours thinks something up that’ll make me want to scream.”

"That's because you play the ice queen card with them, Menina." Soli pointed out, though not harshly. She knew that Gigi was far from an ice queen, but Soli only knew that because she had managed to chip away at her. "My boho shit is cute, and only certain people can pull off leather." She had seen some terrible attempts at wearing leather. "You being one of those people, because you could wear a flour sack and look fucking hot." She grinned, knowing Gigi would argue, even if it was the truth.

"Oh, you think so?" Soli asked mischievously, spinning on her heels and inching back towards the living room. "I'm sure they'd be willing to answer." She continued, glancing over her shoulder to see what kind of reaction she was getting from Gigi. "Even if they're not your type, doesn't mean you can't ogle the pretty for a bit." Soli pointed out honestly, a sly smile tugging at the corners of her mouth. "Maybe I should ban the wearing of shirts." She threw out there, really just trying to get a rise out of Gigi some more. "Too late, I'm sure I already have ideas that will make you want to scream. Though I really do think we need to find a guy that will make you scream in a different way." And yeah, she was fully expecting something to be flung at her head now.

Gigi pressed her lips into a thin line. She was not getting into this, not with Sol. God, sometimes she wished that Soli hadn’t figured her out; it was nice most of the time having her around, but it also meant dealing with comments like that. “Oh, is that it?” She responded, her tone short as she straightened up and crossed her arms over her chest. Hopefully Soli got the hint that it wasn’t something she wanted to talk about any more. She puffed out a sigh and rolled her eyes at Soli. “Nah, I’d just look like a gawky brunette in a flour sack.” She could fake self-confidence like a pro, but she never saw what Sol was talking about. There were a million women in the world who were a million times better looking than she was; she was average at best.

“Oh my god,” Gigi muttered, “You’re insane. You are not going out there and creating some rule about shirts. It’ll just make the whole night awkward.” And Gigi would never own up to the fact that her first thought at Soli’s suggestion had been Ezra, and how she got the vibe that he was uncomfortable with his scars. Maybe that had changed since she inked him though, it wasn’t like she and her bandmate talked much. Either way it wasn’t a good idea. “Oh, we’re narrowing it down to just men now.” She asked dryly, fighting with the urge to roll her eyes again. “But if it’ll make you shut up about how I’m sexually frustrated or whatever, next time I’m in a bar or at a club I’ll find someone and have a good old one night stand, just for you.” Sometimes it was just easier to go along with Soli rather than fighting her. It was the less exhausting road to take.

Soli knew that look well, it was Gigi's 'God, you see through me.' look as Soli liked to call it. Her friend could fool a lot of people, but not her, and she knew on some level that irritated Gigi to some degree. "It is." She confirmed, realizing it was time to drop this subject before Gigi got particularly snippy with her. "Deus, not gawky, more like modelesque." It wasn't a secret that Soli knew Gigi wasn't as confident as she wanted everyone to believe, though she thought Gigi really should be. Maybe she was biased because Gigi was her best friend, but she kind of thought she was amazing, even if she did like to keep everyone at arms length.

"Menina, when have I ever claimed to be sane?" Soli asked with a smirk, standing in the doorway as she called over her shoulder. "Oh boys...." though she kept her voice low, as she really wasn't trying to get anyone's attention. Screwing with Gigi was one thing, demanding the male occupants of the apartment go shirtless was another thing, a very insane thing. "Não, it doesn't just have to be the guys." Soli smirked, knowing she was treading thin ice. "Pictures or I won't believe it happened." She grinned, waiting for the moment Gigi would jump off the counter and join everyone else in the living room to get away from her.

Gigi raised an eyebrow and pressed her lips together. “If modelesque is a nice way to say gawky, then sure, go with that.” She said trying like hell to not be completely irritated with the way Soli always twisted everything she said about herself. Can’t a girl be self-deprecating once in a while? “Maybe I should just hop a flight to New York and get myself booked with some modeling company. Do you think tattooed bitch is marketable look?” She was being a pain in the ass, she knew it, but it wasn’t like she didn’t have years of being the tall girl to back up her viewpoint.

“Oh my god,” Gigi muttered, dropping her head into her hands, not even bothering to scowl at Soli because it wouldn’t do any good. What was so much fun about giving her a hard time? “Don’t you dare step foot out there, Princess. Not if you’re gonna keep going with this.” It wasn’t really a threat, because there wouldn’t be any follow through on Gigi’s end; other than a lot of bitching about needing new friends. “Like hell,” She replied raising her head to give Soli a look, “You’ll just need to believe me when I tell you it happened. If I tell you at all.” Because she was really thinking she wouldn’t tell Soli anything from here on out. It was safer that way.

Soli rolled her eyes and flat out glared at Gigi. "Deus, are you ever going to believe that you're gorgeous and not gawky, Menina?" She just didn't get it, Gigi was attractive, hell, that's the first thing Soli had noticed about her. When it had become clear though that Gigi wasn't going to sleep with her, Soli had gone a different route and made sure they became friends. "Have you been to New York? You would fit right in, and I'm sure some modeling agency or designer would declare you his or her new muse." Soli wasn't backing down, Gigi could do all the glaring and cutting herself down she wanted, it wasn't going to make her change her opinion.

Holding up her hands, Soli turned around and grinned. "Alright, I won't do it." Wasn't like she was ever really going to do it, although she had to think that the looks on Ezra and Jasper's faces if she did actually make that request/rule would have been priceless. Neither guy struck her as the store that would be okay with doing something like that, which made her want to ask that much more. She wouldn't though, because she wasn't that much of a bitch, and she knew it would make Gigi insanely uncomfortable. "It's not like I'm going to publish them, Menina." Soli laughed. "And how am I going to know you're not just feeding me a line to get me off your back?"

Gigi shrugged, “Don’t know.” And she really wanted to not be talking about her body right now; wished sometimes that she could just clue in to everything everyone else was saying. But she just didn’t see it, and it wasn’t just because she wanted to be difficult. All she ever saw when she looked at herself was a handful of decent features and a body that was too tall and too thin to be anything but angular and a little gawky. “No and no, thank you.”

“I don’t care. You aren’t getting any fucking pictures, you little perv!” Gigi shot back, laughing under her breath. “So, just trust me when I say it’ll happen and get your rocks off some other way.” The corners of her mouth tipped up into a smile as she leaned back on her hands. She didn’t really like getting her picture taken anyways, and it would be awkward as hell to get those pictures with a stranger; probably wouldn’t be any better than shitty, camera phone images anyways. “Or, if it’s just sexy pictures you’re looking for, get that boyfriend of yours to take some with you.”

Soli knew when to push Gigi and when to let something go, and this was clearly that point in which she needed to let the conversation go. She didn't understand how her best friend couldn't see that she was gorgeous, but pushing her on the topic wasn't going to make her suddenly see it. "So I'm not going to be able to convince you to visit New York and take up modeling, Menina?" She asked, her tone clearly teasing.

"Seriously?" She mock-pouted, still seeking to get a reaction from Gigi. "I'm not sure if I can trust your word, Menina. Might need a written agreement from said guy or girl saying it happened." Soli smirked, ignoring the second part of her friend's comment. Laughing softly, Soli flashed an even bright smile as she responded. "I already have pictures with Damien." It was after saying that that Soli realized that she'd yet to tell Gigi what had happened on Thanksgiving, and she was a little nervous to tell her friend. "Speaking of Damien, something happened on Thanksgiving when I went down to meet his parents." Soli chewed on her lower lip for a moment. "He told me he loves me and I said it back." She said this in a rush of words, not even entirely sure Gigi would be able to understand what she'd said. Thinking about the fact that Damien loved her still made her all kinds of giddy, and she was sure the sappy smile gracing her features was giving away just how she felt about what she'd just told Gigi.
