It was over a week out from Thanksgiving now and Graham thought over all it had gone well. His Mother had fawned over the fact that he was honest to God dating someone, before spending the rest of the time fawning over Noah and making comments like 'you look just like your father'. Graham still wasn't sure how he felt about those comments, about being a father. He was still getting to know his kid, who wasn't really a kid. Either way, Thanksgiving had gone well, and Graham half thought that maybe Courtney was relieved she hadn't been the main focus of the day.

He heard the knock on the door followed by it opening, a clear indication that it was Courtney coming into the house. They had plans, so he wasn't surprised, though he was definitely pleased. "Does that mean I've convinced you to finally move out of the city?" He called back as he came out of the kitchen. It wasn't much time at all before Graham was crossing the room and pulling Courtney into his arms. "Hey, Darlin'."

Pausing for a moment, he thought about her question. "Shopping? Do I get some kind of reward for braving the mall with you?" Graham asked with a suggested smile. "Tree shopping I can do without a bribe or reward, but I wouldn't say no to either."

Courtney laughed and watched him walk out of the kitchen. "Maybe," she teased. She met him half way and wrapped both arms around him tightly. "Hey, Cowboy." Courtney leaned up and pressed a soft kiss to his lips.

A grin curled on her lips. "Yes, you'll get a reward for braving the mall and tree shopping with me," she grinned. "What kind of reward do you want, Cowboy? A cookie or something more adult?" Courtney gave him a playful wink.

Graham paused for a moment, wondering how he could get that 'Maybe' to turn into a 'Yes'. He wasn't going to think on that too hard right now though, they would discuss that at some point he was sure. "Maybe?" He asked with a smirk, peering down at her as she slide her arms around him. "How're you Darlin'?" Graham asked as he pulled away from the kiss, though he would have gladly stood in his entryway making out with her for a few minutes longer, he also wanted to catch up with her.

He quirked an eyebrow. "You really need to ask what kind of reward I'd like?" Graham asked with a laugh. He would have thought Courtney could have figured out which option he was likely to choose. "Much as I love cookies, I think I'd go with the more adult option." He smirked, his eyes twinkling with humor just a bit.

Courtney knew it was truly only a matter of time before she and Graham made the move to move in together. There was a lot to do before they did so and to take into account but it would all come in due time, she was sure. "I'm good, Cowboy - how are you?" she asked, giving him a smile.

She laughed and leaned up and kiss his neck. "No, I didn't need to ask," Courtney responded with a grin. "Just enjoy doing so." She smirked and pinched his butt playfully.

Graham wasn't going to press that issue, sooner or later it would move from joking to reality, and until that point he would just continue to tease her about when she was planning on moving in with him. He knew she loved her apartment, which was half the reason he hadn't been pushing for her to come live with him. "Doing good for the most part, watching Shosh slowly fall a part." He paused before adding. "The Anniversary of Jacob's death is coming up on Sunday." Which was something he himself would have to deal with, but he was determined to not let it ruin his time with Courtney right now.

He chuckled as a smirk still graced his features. "Because you can punctuate it with a pinch to the ass, Darlin'?" Graham joked, though he wasn't necessarily complaining.

Courtney nodded. That's right, the year anniversary of Jacob's death was coming up soon. She leaned up and pressed another soft kiss to his lips. "How are you doing with that?" she asked, softly. She was concerned about him and hoped he would be okay. She would be there for him though, if he needed her.

"Exactly, handsome," Courtney teased with a smirk.

Graham really wasn't the sort to dwell, sure he wasn't looking forward to the anniversary of Jacob's death, losing a friend is never easy and remembering their gone hurts. Over all he thought he was doing fairly well, better than Shosh anyway. "Surviving, I guess." He wasn't sure exactly how he was doing, probably wouldn't know until the day actually came around.

"What am I going to do with you, Darlin'?" He asked with a laugh. Graham enjoyed the teasing that they did, the back and forth banter, it was something he was glad they hadn't lost after they began dating.

"That's understandable," Courtney smiled softly. He was important to her and that was why she asked and cared about what he was going through. It was with Jacob's death that they didn't talk for six months, which ultimately lead them to where they were currently.

"Love me forever?" she asked with a cheeky grin.

Graham pondered her question jokingly, intentionally waiting awhile before answering. "I don't know, that's a mighty tall order." He teased, a smirk tugging at one side of his mouth. "Can I get back to you on that?" Graham was truly only joking, because near as he could tell he was going to love this woman for as long as she'd have him, even if he made more missteps in their relationship along the way.

After a few moments, he laughed and finally answered seriously. "Darlin', I'm going to love you for as long as you'll have me." Graham wasn't generally a sappy person, had never been a real romantic, but for Courtney he at least tried.

Courtney laughed and tilted her head. "But if anyone can do it, it's you." She responded, confidently.

"That'll be a very long time, Cowboy. I hope you're prepared for such a task." Courtney pressed a soft kiss to his cheek.

"So what were you doing before I got here, love?"

Graham chuckled and shook his head, thinking Courtney had more faith in him then he had in himself sometimes. "Oh, you think so Cory?" He asked, mostly teasing.

"Hmm. I think I could handle that, maybe." he drawled, a smirk still turning up the corners of his mouth.

Quirking an eyebrow, Graham pondered answering her questions with something off the wall and bizarre, but instead settled on the honest answer. "Just fixing something quick to eat." He moved them both back towards the kitchen, pausing for a moment. "Are you hungry or would you rather get to that shopping or Christmas tree buying you mentioned?"

"I wouldn't have said anything if I didn't," she responded with a quirk of her lips. She knew he was teasing though.

Courtney smirked. "Oh? Maybe?"

"Something to eat sounds great, actually," she smiled. "What are you fixing?" Courtney wrapped an arm around him and squeezed his hip gently.

He chuckled and shook his head, knowing Courtney wouldn't have said anything if she didn't. He couldn't resist teasing her though. "Can always count on you to be honest." A fact Graham appreciated, even if he didn't say that enough.

Graham smirked, wondering how far he could push Courtney with his teasing before she snapped. "Yeah, just maybe."

"Nothing real special, just spaghetti." Graham wasn't much of a cook unless in involved a grill. "Hope that's okay with you, Darlin'." He smiled down at her, his arm going around her shoulder as he moved them both towards the kitchen.

Courtney hummed. "Fair enough, I suppose. Not an easy woman to love and be around forever," she sighed playfully before pinching his side with a grin. She loved that, while they had some issues over the summer and were still, in a way, playing catch up, they were trying and not allowing their old habits to come in the way. They were committed though and that was truly what was important in her mind.

"Mm, I'm just fine with spaghetti," she responded. It didn't truly matter to her - she wasn't too picky when it came to food.

Courtney leaned against him and tightened her arm around him. "Do you have all of your Christmas shopping done?" she tilted her head to look at him with a smile.

Graham shook his head. "You're not any less easy than I am, so we're even." He remarked, just barely managing to hide his smirk. He jumped away from her slightly as she pinched his side, even though really it hadn't been that hard, it was more for effect. "Hey, no you're getting abusive on me?" He asked jokingly. Things still felt a tad unbalanced from the summer, but they were both trying, and that's what Graham thought was important in the end.

"Well that's a relief, as it's all I'm making." He replied with a chuckle. Though he knew Courtney was never all that picky, he couldn't pass of teasing her a bit.

He ducked his head and pressed a kiss to her temple as she tightened her arm around him. "Would you believe me if I said I hadn't even started?" Which was the entire truth, Graham had always been a last minute shopper kind of guy.
