Characters: Elliot Winters, Carrie Harper
Location: Jones French Bakery
Status: Private
Summary: Gearing up for Fall Festival.
Completion: Incomplete

This morning was going to require a lot of caffeine.

Putting the current tray in the oven and making a note of it on the festival prep-list she and River had made yesterday, Carrie patted a hand over her bun, wishing not for the first time that she'd been able to fall asleep as quickly as she'd hoped, and gotten the kind of rest today would going to need. By 4:30, she'd already made a note in the back of her head to stop on the way to Blossoms and pick up enough Coke to get her through the day, but despite it all, she was still managing (somehow) to keep up -- she'd started with cookies, and those didn't require all of her brain just yet. And by the time she got to the brownies and cookie-bars, she'd hopefully be more awake. Hopefully.

In the meantime... She checked her 'phone as it beeped, nodding as she skimmed the text from Elliot, letting her know he was going to head out for a run, even though there was still plenty of time before he'd be coming her way. Puffing out a quiet breath, she thought quickly. Ezra would be meeting them there, to help set up a collapsible pavilion River had borrowed from a friend, and either El or Lis would go back for Belle at a more reasonable (for a teenager) hour. And since she and River were making double their normal Saturday load, El had offered to come over and help load what was going to the festival, so they didn't have to completely stop progress in the kitchen. At the moment, she figured, he and River could handle that while she kept working, so River could oversee how things got packed. But that was a ways away yet, and she still had a long way to go on this list...

Dropping her 'phone back into her pocket, she went to go grab another mixing bowl.
