Riley had been waiting only a few minutes before Laszlo came in, her water barely touched as she'd flipped through the menu briefly. She raised a hand briefly to catch his eye when he looked around and set aside her menu when he came up. Standing to hug him, she grinned mischievously when they sat.

"Should we use code names? We're on a secret mission to make sure Taehyun is good enough for our baby boy, I feel like we should."

Taehyun was having a surprisingly alright day at work. Sure, he thought the theme was a little cheesy but he was getting good tips so whatever. He saw that someone new had sat down in his section. When the woman had come in, he'd been swamped with a table of ten, so Kristi had gotten her water. Making sure his smile was in place, he approached the table. "Hi, my name is taehyun and I'll be you server tonight." Taehyun glanced at the woman's glass quickly to make sure she didn't need a refill before turning to the man who joined her. "Could I get you anything to drink?"

Laszlo returned Riley's hug and bussed his lips across her cheek before whispering, "I'll be 'Mustard' and you can be 'Scarlett'."

Well, speak of the man. Laszlo inclined his head at Taehyun and looked him over carefully, trying to be subtle about it. "I'll have a glass of your house white for now, if you have one. Otherwise, what do you have on tap? Scarlett?"

He barely controlled his laugh as he raised an eyebrow in Riley's direction.

She grinned at Laszlo, loving the names.

"Hmmm, good idea Mustard. I'll have a beer, too."

She was proud of herself for not snickering at Laszlo's code name. They didn't want to give the game up so quickly and scare Taehyun away. After all, he was a cutie and she wanted to be able to tease out some more discussion and reactions from him before he figured them out.

"Okay," Taehyun said before listing the beers they had on tap. He couldn't help raising an eybrow at their names. Scarlett and Mustard? Either they liked Clue a little too damn much, or they were just fucking with him. His money was on the second, but sometimes you just couldn't assume. "Was there anything else I could get y'all?"

"Surprise me with one of the imports?" Laszlo took a seat as he asked for the beer. "Other than that, I've got nothing for now. Thanks, though."

Laszlo looked over Taehyun once more. Robert definitely had good taste. Hell, he would've made a play if Robert hadn't gotten to him first. As it stood, however, he was here to see other things than just looks. The man did a good eyebrow, Laszlo had to admit. "You, Scarlett? You get a chance to look for an appetizer?"

"I'll have the seasonal on tap, yeah."

She looked over the menu again before peeking at Laszlo. Clearly they needed as much time to check him out as possible so she picked one of the appetizers at random. "That would be great, thanks Taehyun."

"Alright," Taehyun said, perfect waiter smile in place. "I'll get those out to you as soon as possible. If you need anything else just let me know."

He had to check in on one of his other tables and place the appetizer order to the kitchen before heading to the bar. The bar pretty was busy as was common with Tag Thursdays, so Taehyun just grabbed the drinks himself. Better to just get the job done than sit there and throw a bitch fit like a couple of waiters were doing. They had a couple of imports on tap which gave Taehyun pause for a second, but he decided to just go with the most popular choice. If the guy didn't like it than Taehyun could just get him something different and really it'd be his own damn fault for throwing out 'surprise me.'

He made his way back to their table in a decent amount of time considering how busy it was. "Sorry for the wait," he threw out anyways, just in case, as he carefully removed the drinks from his tray. "Were you ready to order or do you need more time?"

Laszlo waited until Taehyun left, watching his ass as he walked because Laszlo wasn't stupid nor was he blind. "So, Ms. Scarlett, how are you this fine evening and how did you luck out on not having to help our common friend on a Friday night?

"And I hear that they've now had like two dates. And a few kisses but nothing more. Has Bobby told you anything else?" Laszlo looked at the menu and found that he couldn't decide on what he wanted to eat. New restaurants were always a problem for him because he hadn't not trying everything that appealed to him. He'd figure something out, maybe once he saw what sort of beer Taehyun brought him.

Once Taehyun returned, Laszlo looked to Riley and then said, "Maybe a couple more minutes? Anything you'd recommend?"

"Doing wonderfully, Mr. Mustard. As for our friend, I pouted and batted my eyelashes about having to work this week and wouldn't it be nice to take the tour I'd been saddled with on a Friday night." She leaned back, having seen him check out Taehyun.

"Our friend certainly has good taste and good luck. Seriously, I'm surprised he only gaffed on the strip club thing." She flipped through the menu, knowing she'd pick between the things that interested her at the last minute, not knowing what until asked to order.

She looked up when Taehyun returned, thanking him for the beer and waiting to hear the recommendations.

"The burger is pretty good," Taehyun said, trying to remember what else usually did well with his tables. "The roast chicken and steak frites get a lot of positive response as well."

"What about what you would eat?" A man could tell a lot about another person based on what they ate. Laszlo took a sip of his beer and nodded his approval. "Great choice in beer, by the way."

He thought to himself, great choice in dating partner, too and when he looked at Riley, he hoped his thought conveyed itself through the slow wink he gave her.

Riley grinned at Laszlo's implied comment. "The chicken sounds perfect for me."

She took the chance when Taehyun's concentration was switched to Laszlo and talking about the food. He was obviously cute, but there seemed to be something else there. They just had to tease it out over the course of their meal.

"Lucky guess." Was this man incapable of picking his own damn food or was this some kind of test? Taehyun noted down the order of chicken before answering the man's question. "I usually go with the burger," Taehyun answered, smile still plastered on his face.

"Then that's what I'll have. We'll see what sort of taste you have. After all, your taste in beer was quite excellent, lucky guess or no." Laszlo couldn't help the grin that spread over his face. So he sucked at subtlety. He figured that it was Robert rubbing off on him. Plus, if the guy couldn't put up with someone being indecisive over dinner, then he probably wouldn't do well with Robert and then he simply wasn't good enough for him.

Riley barely held back from kicking Laszlo under the table. Subtlety, man, subtlety! They didn't want Taehyun to put his guard up around the crazies. She cocked an eyebrow at him as she took a sip of her beer.
