Summary: Demi takes a cooking class from her boss's friend.

Demi stared at her notes as the class ended, trying to make sense of them. She hadn't told anyone that she was taking the cooking class and suddenly she was very relieved. There would be no awkward conversation about what she had learned. Maybe after a few more classes she'd inform those close to her, but definitely not yet. She slipped her notepad into her bag with a small sigh. There'd be no sudden surprising Jasper and Abby with a home-cooked meal tonight, any ways, she thought as she reminded herself why she was taking the class.
The conversation with Jasper last week had hit her in ways she hadn't expected. Did he think her not responsible? She knew that his first thought had to be for Abby, didn't begrudge him that, but why didn't he realize that her first thought was for Abby now, too? What limited time she had spent with Abby was cherished, and she hoped Jasper saw that.
Demi finished packing up for notes and paused before she headed out the door. She knew that the teacher was Caleb's friend, had seen him around Muse a few times and it would only be polite to say hello, right?
