Date: Saturday, October 15, 2011 Characters: Rico Balderas, Brendon Collins Location: Brendon’s house Status: Private Summary: Rico is in a bad mood. He hopes Brendon makes it better. Completion: Complete
Brendon was home. He hadn't planned on much for his Saturday except get some laundry taken care of, down to his last clean pair of jeans and a white beater of which he was currently wearing, groceries picked up and put away and watch, or rather listen, to some horror films playing on SyFy as he did his chores.
Anything to keep his mind occupied, knowing that by now Alex had received his letters. He knew logically there wasn't much else he could do about the situation. It was in Alex's hands to do as he pleased.
He had only gotten started on some laundry when the doorbell rang. Brendon muted the TV and answered the door. He frowned when Rico didn't look at all pleased. "Alright, love?" he asked, opening the door wider to allow the man inside. It was only then that he noticed Sally's new face lift which caused him to scowl. "What the bloody fuck happened?"
Rico was relieved to see Brendon's car in the driveway. He usually came over or had Brendon over on Saturday nights unless one of them had to work, but it was earlier than usual, so he hadn't known for sure. When the door opened, he ran his hand over his head. "Glad you're here. Was too pissed to call," he admitted. "My colleagues happened. If it had just been a broken window, it might have been anyone, but this had to be someone I work with."
Moving forward, he wrapped his arms around Brendon and sighed. "Needed to see you." He wasn't entirely comfortable with that confession, but it was the truth. "I didn't go get into a fight or anything. Wanted to, but I came to you instead."
Brendon wrapped his arms around Rico, tightly. He felt a surge of anger run through him knowing that Rico's co-workers had done this. The hate and prejudice that people had toward other people who weren't like minded blew him away and only made him frustrated and angry. He pressed a kiss to his temple then to his lips. It showed how far they had come if Rico wanted to see him instead of fighting. Brendon had become much the same way. "I wouldn't have blamed you if you had - you love Sally. I'm glad you came here instead though."
He shut the front door after bringing the man inside and locked it then lead them both into the living room. "You came at a good time too. It's Saturday on SyFy meaning there are some bad horror movies on TV to make fun of." Brendon tried to lighten the mood before placing a soft kiss to Rico's lips. "Or do you want to do something else, darling?"
"I do love Sally, but she isn't the only one I love. I can't get myself arrested by doing something stupid," Rico said. "I'm going to press charges, though, if they catch whoever did it. They probably won't. Even if they do, they won't put it in the file. That's why I'll do some investigating of my own."
He followed Brendon into the living room and sat on the couch, reaching down to unfasten his shoes and take them off. "Bad horror movies sound pretty good right now." He leaned in to the kiss and nipped at Brendon's bottom lip before settling against the couch. "Am I interrupting anything? I can help or whatever."
