She'd changed her mind on her outfit at least a dozen times before calling Neve and asking her opinion. With Piers, she couldn't remember being this worried about how she looked, and she knew that this was just an outing, he'd won her at the win-a-date, but she couldn't stop the excited feeling.
She'd finally settled on a halter top and a pair of jeans that accentuated her curves. Her hair was down and tousled and she knew she looked good. She'd even received the Layla Thumbs Up Fashion Seal of Approval. Biting her lip, she studied herself in the mirror before putting on a soft red lipstick and reminding herself that Nora had said that Jay was good people. It helped, knowing that her tiny friend worked for the guy that had won her. Had given her a little bit of relief, despite Nora's teasing.
She heard a car pull up and, after saying goodnight to Layla and Charisma, headed out the door to meet Jay. She smiled when she made eye contact with him, feeling herself flush slightly. "Good evening," she said softly.
