RP: Dropping By

Summary: Carrie goes to check in on Erica and J.J. with an Alice in tow.

The plan had started with brownies. Two dark-chocolate and raspberry ones for Erica, since much in the way of "real food" still wasn't her friend. Two dark-chocolate and orange ones for J.J., since they'd piqued his interest when he and Erica had been by to visit, even though he'd ended up going with Erica's raspberry ones instead. She'd considered packing more, but Erica wouldn't be able to eat them quickly, and it would be a shame to overload her, or make her feel bad if she couldn't finish them (and possibly have to let J.J. do it, which would mean sharing).
And then Alice had gotten wind of things.
Now the one Tupperware full of brownies and heading straight over to the hospital had become a Tupperware full of brownies and some magazines Alice had gotten the other day and had finished reading, and twenty minutes of running to the drugstore for a book of word-search puzzles, a small box of crayons, and two coloring books before going the long way to the hospital to try and avoid the worst of rush-hour. But Lis had wanted to help, and it would be good to start introducing her around, and having someone in the car with her was a nice distraction today. So she'd been reconciled pretty quickly to it. It was nice to have Lis nearby again. She grinned at her sister as they started out of the elevator and down the hallway, then knocked lightly at the door when she saw it was open and that there wasn't any staff that had come by to do their rounds.
