RP: Need to eat

Summary: Jake decides to make sure Neve and the girls are all right.

Neve had called him the other day upset about her friend being in a car accident. Jake was more familiar than most about how it was when someone you knew was in an accident-not just from himself, but because he’d had friends in accidents that weren’t work related and it was always worse when you were off the job than when you were on. When you were on, you at least had something to focus on.
He gave it a day or so for things to calm down a little before heading over with Star and a homemade lasagna, a big bowl of salad, and a platter of brownies his mother had bought from Jones French Bakery, her favorite place. He knew Neve, and knew that she had a tendency to forget to take care of herself when she was taking care of others. He knew from talking to her that this Erica was Ezra’s friend as well, and if Ezra were upset, Neve was doubly sure to be neglecting herself.
They got to Neve’s house and Jake told Star to put the lasagna on his lap while she carried the other two things, and he wheeled up to the door. All they would need to do was warm up the lasagna in the oven and serve it. He knocked and they waited patiently.
