Gigi thought grocery shopping for just two people shouldn’t take as long as it did, and maybe it usually wouldn't if she wasn’t left trying to decipher Miah’s chicken scratch. Scribbled lines did not count as letters, no matter how many times he tried to convince her otherwise. Seriously, she should have had him dictate the damn thing to her, it would cut her shopping time in half. But that would require being in the same space at the same time.
Lately she was lucky to get five minutes a day to catch up with her brother, what with their work schedules and social lives not matching up very well. She still hadn’t even managed to meet Charisma, or whatever her name was. Not that she minded. Didn’t need or want to be judged by Miah’s new woman.
Sighing, Gigi she set her basket on the floor beside her feet and squinted at Miah’s list again, realizing that it wasn’t polite to stand in the center of the aisle; but not really caring if other shoppers had to move around her. Wasn’t like she took up that much space to begin with.
